This model has a major design flaw: each front wheel is supported by only a single frame arm. Because of this weak structure, the wheels swivel and tip even over small cracks or uneven pavement. (See video). The only way to move it safely is to pull it backward — pushing forward makes the front wheels buckle and tilt dangerously. If we hadn’t noticed in time and continued walking briskly while pushing our dad in wheelchair mode, he could have been thrown from the seat — an extremely dangerous situation. I also have a video when my dad was jerked forward and I had to turn around to pull him instead; but Amazon limits to only 1 video . For reference, our dad weighs only 160 lbs, so his weight is not enough to damage or distort the wheels. This is clearly a design defect, not user misuse. I reported the issue to the manufacturer over a week ago. Their representative offered to replace the distorted wheels, but I told her — why would I continue using a product with such a dangerous flaw? Replacing the wheels doesn’t fix the unsafe design. The company has shown no real concern and taken no corrective action. I will insist Amazon to take back the item and refund me in full.
