However, there is a tendency to build up algae in the water compartment. I am not sure if the manufacturer offers any recommendations as to how to keep the cube algae free in an environmentally sound manner. This tendency to grow algae makes the pot relatively more labour intensive to maintain compared to a plain, standard pot. The advantage the product offers over a standard pot is that the plants need to be watered less often. I would recommend to the manufacturer to introduce different shapes rather than just the one square cube offering. Friends all ask about it when they see it and I'm sure a couple have also ordered it.The cover can come off kind of easy so I wish it 'locked' in better but other than that.
