It goes through each part of the test, teaching how to improve your strategies. Instead of the explanations of the scores (as on most SAT books) the more involved explanations can be looked up online. This means, the book if full of short lessons and short quizzes to help you learn step-by-step.I like that I can have my students order mini-diagnostics, a 3-pack of PSAT tests and individual full tests. Often, students feel pretty overwhelmed by a big book like this, so the smaller versions are better for those students. This is a great book to take a bit at a time and go through all you need to know. Even if you were NOT going to take the test, you will vastly increase your understanding of basic subjects. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for teachers and students *by D***A on July 14, 2015* I've been teaching SAT classes for 3 years, and this book is a very comprehensive review of all the content on the new exam. Some of the chapters cover extremely basic concepts, but this can be helpful for students who are struggling in any of the subject areas. There are plenty of practice questions, a practice test after each subject area (math, reading, writing) and two full-length practice tests included. There are also five new essay prompts.Some of the information is a little outdated, as College Board has made some changes to the exam since the publication date, and there are a few typographical mistakes. However, this is rectified in the erratum that is available for download from the Ivy Global site, along with a wealth of other resources for teachers and students. It will definitely allow my students to get ahead of the game. People talk about using the official book for prepping but with years of experience in teaching thousands of students in test prepevery year, it's not always the best way to go. If you think about it, people who make the test are not going tell you ways tobeat the test. There are enough strategies that I found very helpful in this book for the New SAT.
