Review: exactly what I was looking for even though I didn't know that until I discovered it on desertcart and it couldn't be more perfect. - I buy raw unpasteurized honey from a local bee farm here in the AZ desert which is sold in Ball Mason regular mouth jars, so this is exactly what I was looking for even though I didn't know that until I discovered it on desertcart and it couldn't be more perfect because I can keep it sealed too. I did find some pretty honey servers out there but the dipper left an opening ants could get into. I am using it in a Qt jar since that is how I buy my honey even though recommended for a small one and it works fine. At first, I was disappointed like so many other reviews because it didn't seem to fit completely inside the metal ring so I started to look for something different when I decided to check the reviews to see if anyone else experienced the same problem. I am so glad I did because I learned others reported the same issues but then mentioned what they did to get it to fit. There is like two sentences worth of instructions in small print on the box it came in, that if you don't read and follow, it will not fit properly and you will have difficulty skewing the lid on. Secret I didn't read here is be sure to run the metal rim part under hot water for a minute and then put the dipper part inside the rim and press on both sides with a strong push until it "snaps" into the rim then you can skew it back on the jar with no problem.

**Q: No reviews yet on this item. Has anybody used this? Do you like it? Is it air tight?**
A: It is no different than having a regular cover on the jar of honey in my opinion, if it doesn't get used a lot then you will likely have to remove the lid and heat in simmering water for a period to make the honey into a liquid again, just as you would for any other honey in another container. Its a great jar, very happy with mine, had for quite a while now, really mike it!

**Q: What grade stainless steel is the honey dipper?**
A: I have owned this honey dipper about 6 months & it has been washed & used constantly.  It has proven to be high quality stainless.  I much prefer it over a wooden honey dipper since the jar is actually sealed with this type, in case of a spill.  I recommend the stainless steel dipper.

**Q: What is the lid diameter - for the regular and wide mouth?**
A: I ordered the pint-sized jar insert, or regular, and it takes standard Mason or other brand canning jar lid rings. I'm not sure about the wide mouth Jars, but I'm sure they take standard jar lid rings, as well. I already had jars and lid rings on hand, and they work perfectly. Hope this helps!

**Q: What material is the rubber-looking ring made of?**
A: It's rubber, but to SMALL for the lid! really made me MAD when I saw this. Every time I open the jar it's IN THE HONEY...WAJ.

I love Honey but not pouring it out and cleaning up the sticky mess. I also love Mason Jars! So into the jars my honey goes. I can place the jar in a warm pot of water and make it smooth agian. This Jarware 82624 Wide Mouth Honey Dipper is actually for the regular sized jar lids. It does not actually snap into the lid, as stated, but it stays in place when you lift it by the handle. If using it for raw honey, a lot of honey stays on the large dipper. It may do that with any honey, though. You really have to hold a spoon, or whatever your drizzling, under it and over the jar. Otherwise, it will string honey on the sides of the jar. This honey dipper works well and looks great with my farmhouse decor. If you love to have yummy honey easily accessible whenever you want, I would definitely recommend it.
