The pregnancy doesn't even come into play until almost the end of the epilogue, after they have been together 2 years, and I got the impression it was planned, or at least hoped for. BUT, that being said, the story itself was awesome! I was sucked into the story immediately, and only put it down when I had only 2 hours of the night left to sleep. It was surprisingly poignant at times. The characters were fascinating! I LOVED that Fitz thought Bev was beautiful from the get go, that he didn't see past her curves to the 'beauty inside', but was positively crazy FOR HER CURVES! I loved how sweet he was about her virginity, and that he saw it as a positive thing to be able to be her first. He was excited to teach her! I liked that she saw herself as attractive. She OWNED her body, she wasn't ashamed of it. These two characters were peas in a pod. It was fun to watch all those mushy emotions they thought were stupid and insignificant catch up to them and overwhelm them. They were both caught so off guard by the L Word! The thing about the book that is the reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is that there were a lot of typos, word errors where the wrong word in the sentence was spelled correctly , so Spell check didn't flag it. There were some really great lines that were spoiled because a wrong word made things unclear. All it needs is a read through by an actual human to catch those little errors and fix them, and this book would be well worth 5 stars! It still gets my recommendation though! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Claiming his assistant *by C***A on March 14, 2019* Beverly has not been able to get a job since she graduated from college. But then her luck changed and she got a job working as Fitz's assistant. Unbeknownst to her everyone was praying and hoping she would be a perfect fit for their demanding boss and that she lasted more than a week.When Fitz laid eyes on Beverly his first thought was that she was not the usual model thin assistant they normally send him. Not only was she different in statute but she was made of sterner stuff than the others, so he did not hesitate to put her through the paces. But the longer she was there the more his interest in her grew until the day he could not resist and kissed her. He did not expect the response he got from her but decided to play it by sir and see what becomes of their first encounter in the personal and forbidden lane.But when things got to be too much for Fitz, he started distancing himself from Beverly until he totally shut her out. She had never had a boyfriend , never been kissed , never drank alcohol and was still a virgin. She had applied for several jobs and finally was hired at Golden Star Media owned by Mr. Fitzgerald. He was known to be almost impossible to work for , his assistants usually only lasted a week . Bev was to be his assistant , but she did a fantastic job and lasted alot longer than anyone else . So much happens in this very great story of a young girl and an older man finding their happiness.
