All bracket holes did line up to the holes in the car and there was about 3/4" to an inch adjustment in the distance of the running board from the car. We installed these as far from the car as possible to allow more toe room when standing on them.All hardware that was listed on the instructions was enclosed. The instructions were not easy to follow, and the pictures were not clear. Check bolt head and nut sizes to ease installation, we had a variety of them. After completing installation and filling all holes with bolts, we had a handful of hardware left!Installed on 2004 Honda Element, in use about a month and very happy with results, easy to reach roof rack and walk along entire length of boards without wiggle or give.
