Review: A whimsical addition to any Christmas music collection - One of my favorite things about Christmas is the music. Listening to the songs of the season can lift my spirits even in the heat of summer, and I even keep a separate MP3 player devoted solely to Christmas music so I can play it during the holiday season. There are a few Christmas songs that annoy me, but for the most part I love the sounds of the season. Perhaps my favorite Christmas album of all time, however, is Raffi's Christmas Album. Though primarily a children's musician, Raffi's music is suitable for all ages. Raffi's style is perhaps best described as folk music -- his songs are rarely accompanied by anything fancier than a guitar and/or piano, though occasionally other instruments such as a harmonica will be added for atmosphere. He has a pleasant but not magnificent voice, but it lends itself well to the simple style of most Christmas songs. And he includes a nice mix of songs on this album -- classic favorites, more obscure songs, and songs of his own creation. Perhaps I am a bit biased, as this was one of my favorite Christmas albums growing up. There are many fond childhood memories behind these songs, and in our family songs such as "Old Toy Trains," "On Christmas Morning," and "Douglas Mountain" are just as much holiday mainstays as "Frosty the Snowman" and "Silent Night." Being able to have these treasured songs in CD and MP3 format instead of a worn-out cassette tape is wonderful. This CD also contains something the original cassette didn't -- a bonus song titled "A Child's Gift of Love." It's just as good as the rest of the album. :) Review: Lovely Christmas cd - We love all his music and this Christmas cd is great to add to our collection. Wonderful for both children and adults to listen to. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00006LHYO | | Best Sellers Rank | #40,585 in CDs & Vinyl ( See Top 100 in CDs & Vinyl ) #71 in Children's Sing-A-Longs #305 in Vocal Non-Opera #1,879 in Vocal Pop (CDs & Vinyl) | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 4.8 out of 5 stars (469) | | Date First Available | July 1, 2008 | | Is Discontinued By Manufacturer | No | | Item model number | 0011661811423 | | Label | Rounder | | Language | English | | Manufacturer | Rounder | | Number of discs | 1 | | Original Release Date | 2002 | | Product Dimensions | 4.88 x 5.55 x 0.47 inches; 3.1 ounces | ## Images ![Raffi's Christmas Album (Remastered) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61dE-0lu8fL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A whimsical addition to any Christmas music collection *by K***T on October 24, 2012* One of my favorite things about Christmas is the music. Wonderful for both children and adults to listen to. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Must-Have *by C***E on December 9, 2010* I grew up playing this CD along with The Time-Life Treasury Of Christmas albums. This CD also means so much to me is because my dad plays guitar and always played songs for me and my siblings on it. Some of which were Raffi's songs. So, in short, this album reminds me of my father. I find this album great because it's easy to sing along to, it's upbeat, and the songs are original. Nothing over-the-top fancy. It makes it nice because some songs sound like a well prepared Christmas show that you'd hear in a school (lead by the music teacher and accompanied by more than a piano). I recommend this CD to those with kids to those who like folk music. Not all the songs have the kids singing; and there's even a song that's instrumental with some humming (Silent Night/Away In A Manger). So the album by itself doesn't feel like the same song is repeating... and if it does, I recommend to stop playing the album 30 times in a row. ;) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.sa/products/10270616-raffis-christmas-album-remastered](https://www.desertcart.com.sa/products/10270616-raffis-christmas-album-remastered) --- *Product available on Desertcart Saudi Arabia* *Store origin: SA* *Last updated: 2026-10-22*
