At the risk of sounding dumb, whats actually in the can? Is it filled with shredded confit duck meat, or is it a duck leg in fat?

It's duck leg in fat - 2 -3 pieces per can.

How does this particular product line differ from their other tinned duck cassoulets? In other words, what accounts for the difference in price?

Hi, This product is different from duck cassoulet. It contains duck legs in fat (2/3 servings), ready to be reheated. Duck confit is a French recipe, duck legs are slowly cooked in duck fat until tender. We hope this helps, please feel free to directly contact us if you have any more questions. Thanks, BonneBouffe

Aside from the duck pieces, what is the quality of the other ingredients like? The beans and sausage for example?

The only ingredients in the jar are the duck legs and the fat. I think you could be thinking of Cassoulet? It's an amazing French product though. I prefer it to the ones we can buy in our English supermarket. La Belle Charienne is a very good brand and the French often eat Confit from a tin. We don't buy confit often as it is not cheap but I always go for this brand. Should it be the Cassoulet you want instead with the sausage and duck pieces, this is it. Hope that helps. https://www.amazon.co.uk/French-cassoulet-duck-canard-Chaurienne/dp/B00B89C0DM/ref=asc_df_B00B89C0DM/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=463040212506&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=386100234660190358&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9180659&hvtargid=pla-997292794518&th=1
