Amazing customer service!
I’ve had this product for about a year now and use it daily at work! Love the holder! Belt clips recently broke and I messaged about getting a new clip the response time was so quick and took care of me with absolutely no hassle or hesitation! This is a company I’d highly recommend and has great products

I had my doubts but it's great
It looks bulky and pointy in pictures. I had my doubts that it would be comfortable and work well, but my leatherman leather sheath with the elastic panels was getting really beat up and the revised version of it looked even worse than the one I had. Well I don't have a lot of miles on it, but my initial impression is very positive. It's less bulky (by a little bit) than the leather pouch, but at least with a reinforced 1.5" nylon belt, it rides at jsut the right height and tucks in tight to the body without the slop the leather holster had . Due to this nice tucked into the body fit, although it has some corners that could be unpleasant if crammed into your body while sitting, it doesn't do so. I have the tension version with bit storage rather than the magnetic version, and while the pictures make it obvious that the metal tabs retain the tool, they don't retain the bits. Those operate on a friction fit and I don't see them slipping out easily. But they are way more accessible than with the leatherman sheath. I wont miss threading my sheath onto my belt. I suspect the experience would be less positive with a floppy 1.25" belt.

Durable for light use, I’d say it’s worth it.
Ok bout time for a review Had it for about 3 years, for me it’s been through light use, use it a couple times a week. I mainly got this so that I could remove the wave with one finger, and it has been OUTSTANDING for that purpose. Still holds the wave pretty well anger 3 years. I have to bend the top clips occasionally to keep it in tight. Kinda wish it wasn’t as soft a metal, or that that part was a bit stronger and springier but not a deal breaker. That said, the clip for your belt is just that, strong and springy; so the awesome. Holds the bit kit really well. The socket holes in the side have saved me a few times on some projects also(but it won’t fit in tight spaces for that). Paints wearing through exactly where and how you’d expect, not great, and not bad. Occasionally gets caught when trying to put the wave in, but that’s not the holsters fault mostly me in a hurry. You do have to get used to something metal being on your hip, instead of the nylon or leather pouches, but all the weight is in the leatherman, not the case. All in all, if you like your wave, and you need a case, it’s well worth it for the utility. My compliments to the designer.

Wave sheath
Doesn’t hold the accessories

Good concept, but
The idea of this clip on belt holder for the Leatherman wave and wave plus was good. The quality is good, it's a bit expensive. The big problem is that the belt clip is so strong it's extremely difficult to mount on a belt. Even with two hands I can't mount this holder with my belt on. I have to undo my belt, lower my pants so I can get leverage on the belt clip in conjunction with my belt and struggle to get the clip onto the belt. Then, try to get the belt clip holder off the belt at the end of the day. It's not what I expected.

Failed clip hinge. Won’t stay latched.
The clip DOES NOT stay latched. I’m constantly rel-latching It. This is NOT for the common blue collar worker that is required to work with full range of body motion. I’ve had this for less than 2 months and the holster broke at the hinge point and fell off my belt. I fully understand weight reduction principles, however, the clip connection should be the last piece to fail as it is the most vital. The bit holder clip inside the holster is also questionable. There isn’t quite enough friction to keep the bits in place. The slightest tug will cause the bits to be pulled out. I like the idea behind this item but I would like a refund instead of a replacement.

I'll probably return it
The metal part seems fine but the clip broke one the first attempt at using it.kind of a bummer.

No other type of sheath compares
I’ve tried so many sheaths in the past, including Maxpedition and similar nylon sheaths. The Rae Gear is by far the most compact and comfortable solution for a multi-tool. I have both versions of this one, with and without the bit holder. The 1.5” clip is the perfect size, doesn’t flop around like nylon or leather. Rides so close to the body that I no longer look like a tactical junkie when carrying one or more multi-tools. Also have the Gerber Centerdrive version, and have two more on the way. One for a ST 300, and a Rebar. Deployment is quick and much more quiet than ripping Velcro.
