How do you get daw to record midi notes from this synth? do you need additional cables?

The Digitone comes with a USB cable that you can use to get MIDI into and out of the Digitone. You can even download the Overbridge drivers and software and that will turn the Digitone into a recording interface of sorts where it can stream each of its tracks separately, as well as anything you have running into its stereo inputs. Then you can mix it later. For MIDI into and out of your DAW, many DAWs have an "external instrument" plugin that will make quick work of this process.

can you use it on the without an external power supply? i mean just to sit to a bench in the park, plug in your earphones and have fun?

You can but you will need to buy a separate power bank and adapter cord.
