Wonderful product
The 16.5” flex longboard is a godsend for the bodywork of the Jaguar E-type (XKE) which has almost no flat surfaces. Using it wet with 320 grit wet/dry sandpaper knocks down high areas and exposes low ares. I wouldn’t be able to do the job without it.

Works on gentle compound curves
The Flex-Block is a good tool for smoothing out large radius compound curves. It is slightly more flexible than my Dura-Block of similar size.

Far too warped to use
I haven't written a negative review in years, but I am compelled by my frustration. I am refinishing part of my DiskLavier player piano. I wanted a long, straight sanding block to facilitate a more even smoothing between coats. I knew this would have some flexibility and I didn't expect glass-straight, but this is so severely bowed that it is worse than every improvised solution I turned down. It is flexible, but not THAT flexoble; were I to bend it straight during use, the amount of force it takes to straighten will ultimately dish the surface as I work. This is just too screwed up to use. I don't know how this abomination was considered close enough to the straight block in the product photos, but any glance at the product should have seen it thrown in the trash. The gaps you see in my photos are about 3/8"- huge!

Shoulda Bought One Years Ago
I am an amateur car restorer. This block with 80 grit is making quick work of body filler on the curved surfaces on my current project. I have only been using it for a couple of days. It saves time and effort. It is great.

Has defects
This would have been a great block for sanding automotive primer because of its flexibility and length, but it has a bunch of defects in the block itself and leaves deep marks behind. Not good for autobody..maybe for knocking down bodyfiller but thats about it. Disappointed with the purchase.
