DEWALT Oscillating Tool Blade, Flexible Scraper (DWA4218)

I bought this to scrape a car insurance crash sensor device off the inside of my windshield that was stuck on with VHB tape. I'd previously tried about 10 different ways for hours to get it off (razor blade, putty knife, dental floss, wire, heat gun, etc etc) to no avail. Hours of my life I won't get back and fear I was going to break the glass. This blade took it off cleanly in under 90 seconds. Wish I'd gotten it in the first place! It's a great balance of flexible enough to get under things, but stiff enough to maintain pressure. I've since used it for other projects and it worked just as well for those. Would recommend!

This is a better scraper than the competition because--unlike others--it is a single piece and does not have a straight scraping piece riveted to another more rigid piece that connects it to the tool. I use it for removing tape, glue and paint from surfaces that can't be damaged. On other tools, the rivets can cut into the surface if you're not really careful. It has the perfect combination of rigidity and bend for almost all of my gunk-removal applications.

Used this to remove old caulking on an outdoor project. Really worked well and saved a ton of time.

This little blade is perfect for removing chalking and old rope type chalking used in older windows. It sharp and can gouge if you use a heavy touch. Works best with a light touch and let it do the work.

The Dewalt products are durable and well made for the most part and this is no exception. The fit is perfect and the blade seems to hold up better than some of the other brands I have used. It gets the job done.

I am giving this a "3" for now because I am not totally sure that this is a "flexible " scraper as is advertised. I got the package today and nowhere on the package does it say "flexible" which is what I wanted and that I amhoping this is. It would be nice if Dewalt would indicate flexible on the package since there are tons of oscilating blades. The metallic blade says "metallic" on the package. So, I am not confident that I got what I paid for.

It requires practice to gain desired results on wood in effort to clear old paint as it tends to gauge the surface. It okay as an accessory in my tool kit.
