Incredibly good grinder for the price
Ignore the Crap reviews this is excellent. In fairness this was an upgrade from a old and failing Gaggia grinder with about 8 grind setting and bought this on advice from a friend and online reviews without trying anything else. But this is just phenomenal. It does take some work getting a grind right for your machine and beans but all machines do. This has incredible flex for adjusting both grind fineness and time. You'll get the most out of it with a Sage machine I suspect but the filter holders are of standard sizing (2 cradles one for 50-54mm folders and one for 58mm) although whether your holder will trigger the grind I dunno. 60 grind setting and grind time adjustable in 0.2sec increments. Slightly pi$$ed no free coffee but I'd recently got a Sage Bamino Plus so suspect I only got free bag once. For those giving crap reviews. This grinds excellent espresso, you may need to change your coffeee in the same way as you have to do that when you when you swap espresso machine, and yup you do need to work the right settings out, but if you can't be arsed doing that why are you reviewing this ?

Really pleased!
Really pleased with this grinder. It took a few tries to dial in what was right for me in terms of strength of coffee and grind size, but once I did that it is really easy to lock in the settings so I don't have to think about that again. In case it helps anyone, my settings are 12 - 2 - 12 for Americano, your mileage may vary, but that could help as a starting point. The hopper size is great and holds loads of beans and produces a consistent amount of grounds each time. The buttons are a good size and make it easy to operate. Having a backlit display is helpful as seeing settings is that much clearer. I would recommend this grinder.

Excellent but you'll still need 2 more things
I previously had a graef and it just couldn't get the ratio of 19g beans and 40g coffee liquid without over bitterness, I don't know why. The Sage does it perfectly. If you don't want a heap of coffee which will fly everywhere as soon as you try to tamp it, you simply need a portafilter dosing funnel (around a tenner). The machine grinds by time, not by weight, so if you're not confident in getting the exact weight you want, don't keep all the beans in the hopper, leave them in the bag and pour out 19g every time and grind till the burrs are clear. Seems more sensible to me, but perhaps one day I'll play with the grind settings, which might save time. For now, I recommend a mini scale (also a tenner). Buying this and the sage bambino saved around £100, versus a complete bean to cup machine, and I'm very happy.

Creme de la creme of coffee grinders
We've suffered years of second-class grinders - even top brands have disappointed us. Until now, the ground coffee containers have all been made from a plastic that attracts the loose coffee in a magnetic fashion. Extremely annoying. This model is very expensive, but is sophisticated in every way, and does not sound like an ancient lawnmower about to give up the ghost. It's a dream to operate. Cannot recommend enough!

Best Entry Level Grinder
Personally bought 3 for friends and family without much coffee knowledge and all of them are using it without any issues. They wouldn't go back to instant coffee after this! Reasons to buy it: * Clean and tidy with little to no mess * Quality grind with fast dozer of ground coffee * Simple but useful controls

Good grinder, excellent support
So, the grinder is totally fine, grinds well, wide range from coarse to fine, and looks nice while doing it. Was unfortunately hit a £70 import duty, which I'm guessing is yet another Brexit 'benefit'. But their support was really superb, and very quick to answer my questions. Very happy with the process :)

Changed the way I make coffee
This super easy to use and ‘dial in’. Has memory of your preferred setting. No mess when grinding into dosing cup but I do find (as with all grinders) that when filling directly to the portafilter it heaps up and spills so I prefer dosing cup and very happy with that. Nice digital display.

Best Grinder for your home
When combined with bambino plus you will get the ultimate home coffee setting. Recommends the black color as it will not leave stains nor fingerprints.
