Can this be sprayed on sets that are already built?

Yes it can, but remove mini-figures, movable parts like doors, cockpits, etc. first. Also, spraying the underside works really well too. That seems to be where there are a lot of loose connections.

Too many negative reviews. Not sure if I should buy this or not?!?!

Make sure to follow the instructions to a T and give it ample time to dry. Lot's of the negative reviews are from either using spraying too much or too little while being impatient. This isn't superglue and won't bombproof your designs, it's designed to wash off easily, but it will keep your sets held together much better than without. I've had it on my Millennium Falcon and City sets and it worked very well.

Does this really work as described? Holds arts together and then washes off easily, not leaving markings?

Yes, it works, but it depends on what you are using it for and you have to follow the directions exactly.!! I used it for the Build-A-Pikachu kit of 804 Lego pieces. Only a very few pieces kept coming off after using this product. I should have ordered two cans for my project, because one can was barely enough. Hope this helps.
