Frontier ED X Binoculars 8x42 Green

These binoculars are well worth the 350 dollars they sell for. Actually at 600 dollars these would be a good buy in my opinion. I compared these to my alpha binocs and these have great brightness,clarity,depth of field and width of field. They look nice, they feel nice and when you look through them you almost think you are looking through binoculars that would sell for 3 times what these do. The lenses are clear to about 70-80 percent of the edges and they just soften to the edges. I don't notice this when looking through them. The focus feels smooth, quick and accurate. Way too good and that's why I will keep them. You wont regret this pair. **6 months later I feel the same and would like to add that the coatings on these binoculars are the very best and literally arrest chromatic aberrations. Side by side with the Meopta Meopro HD's these Hawkes showed almost zero reflections or light abberations in the lenses with the morning sun shining in the objectives. The Meopros were horrible and the lenses literally lit up around the outside 30-40 percent. IMO the Meopros have great glass and terrible coatings. Go Hawke!

No need ro spend a cent more. Sweet spot for price meeting quality. Feel great in my hands and the clarity is amazing. Buy these binos!!! U will not be sorry... BTW... I have 7 pairs of binoculars and these are now my favorite.

I bought these light weight binoculars for bird watching. They let in a wonderful amount of light to enhance the image brightness and the image clarity is amazing. The width of the field of view is very nice. They feel very solid and are made from a material that is very easy to grip. I selected them because they were chosen as the best bird watching binocs in 2019 by a bird watching organization in the UK.

I'm very happy with these! Much nicer than the Nikon 5s I sent back, or the Nikon 7s I looked at at a store. Sturdy and small enough to be handy. Perfect for what I use them for, birding and wildlife observing.

Very very good binoculars. The only thing I was disappointed in is where they were made. I was under the impression they were made in England , but it turns out they are made in China . The China thing is why I didn’t give five stars on the price, and the same for the four stars for the binocular overall. I had a issue with the eye cups and sent the binoculars back and they were replaced without question . The service and turnaround was done in less than a week and half from the time I sent them back till Hawke service had them back to me. I don’t know much about binoculars, but I do know these are the best I have ever looked through.

Really awesome. Best I ever used overall. Warranty can't be beat. Light for what they are, comfortable. They are super bright and have a really excellent color accuracy at night. Perfect birding and great for astronomy. Too bad don't make equivalent in 10x

First time bino buyer. These are perfect. The build quality is so pleasing. The view is perfect.

First things first. The optical quality of these binocs is outstanding for the price. They're very highly regarded by birders and you can find many reviews of them on YouTube and elsewhere. I am serious birder and have owned these binocs for 5 years and have used them a lot. And then last summer, I accidentally dropped them. The rubberized casing prevented any damage to the lenses but they fell at an angle onto the edge of one objective and that fouled up the focusing. The focus mechanism was binding in one portion of its travel and it needed extra pressure on the thumbwheel to move past that spot. Other than that, they showed no sign of misalignment and I was able to use them for the next year, which I spent in Thailand. When I returned to the states last month I decided to see if they could be fixed even if it cost me a few dollars out of pocket. I emailed Hawke and they gave me an RMA number no questions asked and told me to send them in for repair. A few weeks later I got a notification that a UPS shipment was about to arrive. They had sent me a brand new pair of binoculars totally free of charge! Now that's a warranty we can only hope other companies emulate. I highly recommend these binoculars and in addition, this company. You will not be sorry.

Excellent binos and great value for money.

Ho scelto questo binocolo per riconoscimento di uccellini, in base alle buone recensioni che riceve in Inghilterra e USA. C'è anche un importatore italiano e lo si dovrebbe trovare nelle armerie, comunque su Amazon Marketplace ha funzionato tutto bene, arrivo in 2 giorni da U.K., con istruzioni anche in italiano. La qualità ottica è buona, mi sembra pari a Zeiss Terra e Nikon Monarch 7 provati allo HIT show di Vicenza in febbraio. Il campo visivo è tra i più ampi, sono molto contento della definizione e della resa dei colori e anche della luminosità. Non riesco a trovare vignettatura ai bordi, l'aberrazione cromatica è eppena percepibile al centro e più evidente ai bordi, ma solo nelle condizioni peggiori. Il campo di vista è poco curvo, i dettagli sono appena sfocati ai bordi dove c'è anche astigmatismo, ma non coma. Non c'è effetto globo. C'è in dotazione una bella borsa rigida. Difetti? La gommatura sottile non da protezione dagli urti, altri binocoli si impugnano meglio.

I had my eye on these for quite a while. The image quality is really good and with the having low dispersion glass the image has very little colour fringing and chromatic aboration. The image that you get is bright and crisp and at this price point (£400 at the time of buying) is very good and matches higher end binoculars. If you are wondering whether to buy them or not I would go for it. The only downside is they are a little heavy but the image quality makes up for it

Fernglas liegt gut in der Hand, Bild ist randscharf und farbecht. Glas ist auch nicht zu schwer und hängt gut am mitgelieferten Halsriemen. Bisher alles Bestens! Wasserdichtigkeit habe ich noch nicht beurteilen können, da ich es noch nicht so lange habe.
