Good size and sturdy
The bowl is a good size (soda can for reference in pic), and much more heavyweight than I thought it would be. It's nice and sturdy. It came with a sticker inside which was a pain to remove. I finally got all the sticky stuff off using olive oil But it holds enough water for my 3 dogs, and that's what I was hoping for

a perfect feeding dish for your perfect pet!
We recently rescued our second elderly pug (the second in 7 months; have rescued a total of 8 pugs throughout the past 20 years), and learned quickly that the same amount of food in DIFFERENT bowls caused a bit of jealousy, so we quickly ordered the one that matched the original rescue's dinner dish, and VOILA! Instantly, they had no further competition. The quality is sturdy, the dimensions are perfect for healthy AND elderly pugs, and the design is perfect for them, as well! They wash easily...nothing sticks, nothing is problematic: these easy-to-use dishes are something YOUR pet will LOVE!

Durable and easy to clean.
Purchased two of these 20 plus years ago at Wal-Mart. Greatest, most durable dog bowls ever! We multiple dogs use these, and have had three Goldens for several years. Have tried other dog bowls, they're just not as good. Two years ago, I found them again at Amazon and purchased one right away. Perhaps the plastic formula is a little different than before, a new golden pully chewed the rim of the new one, never had that happen before. But they work great, very durable, easy to clean and I replaced the chewed one. Can you tell the old from the new?

Good value for the price!
This is the third bowl I have bought. Very durable! The other two bowls are still great after several years! Holds a lot of water. Keeps my cats happy! Thank you for a quality product😊

Big, gray, well made. Sticky stickers.
After the line below is my first review of these bowls. This is for the 106 ounce bowl that was just delivered. While the bowl is fine, some genius decided that it would be a good idea to use a peel-proof label on the inside bottom of the bowl. It's still soaking, but I'm hopeful. ----------------- Good quality (we've bought both this size and the smaller one). Big enough to retain most of our cat's food as he swings his head around while chewing. Cats.

Label Came Off CLEANLY. Love this attractive dish
PAID: $7.18 on sale, on May 16, 2024 for Blue Large 52 oz model. 2/18/25 Update: While I was waiting for the attractive blue model to go back on sale, I found the white-ish 52 oz bowl marked $2.99 at Ollie's Bargain Outlet, so I purchased two of them, while watching the blue model rise to over $10 on Amazon. UPDATED REVIEW ON 2/7/25: REMOVED LABEL CLEANLY: Unlike some reviewers, I was able to carefully remove the label from the bowl, with no annoying residue left behind. It required a very slow and steady pull, but it came off cleanly, thank goodness. The bowl does have an oily feeling layer on it that takes a dedicated soapy scrubbing to remove. I think the manufacturers apply that oily film so that stacked bowls can be pulled apart more easily. NOT UNBREAKABLE: My original review called these unbreakable, but that's not really true. Today, after 8 months of use on a sunny porch, I cracked it. As I was flinging water out of it, it flew out of my hand onto the lawn and cracked cleanly across the middle. (See photos.) I would not have expected it to crack, from a short lob onto dirt and grass. Perhaps it hit at just the right angle; or perhaps the plastic was made more brittle from the UV rays of the sun, but I'm a little disappointed. The unexpected breakage won't stop me from repurchasing this item when it goes back on sale. On a positive note, the edges of the plastic along the cracked edge were not sharp enough to cut oneself, and it did not create extra shards of plastic upon impact ... just a clean crack. 1/8 INCH THICK: I measured the thickness of the base of the bowl after it cracked and it was exactly 1/8 inch thick. In fact the entire bowl is 1/8 inch thick, except where it is thicker for the design on the sides and a wee bit thinner just under the thickest part of the design. WATER BOWL STAYS CLEAN: I replace the water in this bowl at least once a day. After dumping the old water, and before refilling, I add a couple inches of water to rinse it. I swish my fingers around the interior to get rid of any stuck debris, and to determine whether any slimy film has built up on the inside, requiring a real washing with soap. After 8 months of daily refilling in this fashion, I have never once encountered a slimy feeling on the interior of this bowl. As long as I replace the water daily, the interior plastic remains squeaky clean. USE & CONTEXT: I feed 4-6 TNR-ed feral cats. I keep two water bowls out for them and use a plastic bowl for the unshaded location. A metal bowl can become burning hot in the Florida sun. A ceramic bowl is too likely to break. I like this 'Large' 52 oz size for the purpose. The cats usually drink one by one, often stretching their neck to drink from the opposite side of the bowl, LOL. But two cats often drink at the same time without getting in each other's way. It holds enough to last the full day, two days I suppose in an emergency, if the evaporation from sun & wind are not too bad. The color and "faceted blue glass" appearance is very attractive. A couple of my photos illustrate their translucence; notice the brick behind the cracked bowl I am holding up. They're not super heavy (like ceramic bowls) but they're heavy enough that the wind won't push them around (like the very thin molded plastic bowls I started out with, donated by the TNR trapper).

I've had Van Ness dishes for years, but can no longer find a UK supplier. My existing dishes needed to be replaced so I decided to order from the Amazon Global Store. Delivery was surprisingly quick once despatched, although the tracking wasn't accurate. The dishes are super quality, as expected, but they are neither 'heavyweight' nor 'crock', so bear this in mind if you're looking for a Masons type stoneware dish that cannot be tipped up! I knew what I was getting, so the misleading description wasn't an issue for me.

Wrote a review and then it disappeared when I tried to add the photo. The short version is that it’s bigger and lighter than expected, but still extremely sturdy - it would take a lot to break it but it’s also much easier than I expected to pick it up and fill it (other reviews gave the impression it was fairly heavy - it is heavy for plastic, but nowhere near, say, a ceramic bowl). It’s also very big - it feels huge for our 60lb pup and I’m certain it will be the perfect size when he hits 120-130lbs (if I think of it, I’ll try to update when he’s fully grown). In the photo you can see that it’s not much shorter than a regular coffee mug and is very wide. I don’t think it will tip easily, and it’s definitely solidly made. Unless you have a really small space, I’d definitely recommend!

I've had dogs my entire life, as well as have volunteered with animal rescues. I would recommend these bowls over stainless steel any day. They don't slide around as much as stainless steel, are easier to pick up from the floor, go in the dishwasher, are deep & wide for dogs to eat out of, and stackable. I purchased two at my local Walmart, but they ran out. I needed two more, so ordered on Amazon then ended up ordering another one as a water dish too. Inexpensive & very durable! Highly recommend!
