What size hole is recommended

I didn't have room in my dash for a hole, so I bought the bracket that it fits into and screws to surface.

my current hour meter is in a 2 inch hole, will this fit? or am I gonna cuss and have to adjust hole size.

My husband put one in a standing lawn mower and it fit fine. He feels you should be good.

How do you reset the counter? Ground third terminal?

Just connect the negative terminal to the C on the back of the hour meter.

Will that work in Ezgo gas golf cart?

I put mine under the hood on a different brand. Tapped hot wire from back up alarm so has power with key on. I also put a piece of foam insulation under it to prevent it from being jarred. My first one had plastic gears and quit after 38 hrs. This one is electronic, no gears.
