BCW Graded Comic Book Bins with Partitions, Holds 30 Slabs, Black, 1 Pack

These BCW Graded Comic Bins are likely the best comic book storage bins ever devised. I have purchased these to replace all the aging boxes in my collection, and these will be the last bins I'll ever need. They are solid, durable and clearly well-engineered. It's evident a lot of design and innovation went into their creation. I really like that they are stackable too, which makes storage a lot less risky, as you won't crush boxes underneath or run the risk of a stack of boxes tipping over. Construction is challenging, so watch a YouTube video first. The instructions that come with the bins are okay, but the video is better. The locking clips on these boxes (of which there are many) snap into place, but I found it was way easier to assemble the boxes without trying to physically force all the snaps to lock by hand. It's exhausting and takes a lot of strength to pinch some of the locking clips into place. I used a rubber mallet to gently tap the sides after I assembled it by hand and all the locking clips easily clicked into place - they make an audible snapping sound. If you don't get them all to snap into place, the bin runs the risk of coming apart. Also, once these things are built, there's no dissembling them. They're done forever, as I can't image taking them apart without the locking clips breaking. Each box comes with one divider, which is nice, although there are spaces for three in the bin. You can buy others separately if you need them. The lids on the bins are great because they stay attached and lock shut for storage. This is another really well thought design feature. These bins are pricey, but if you want great quality that's a one and done, these are it. I use these to store both my graded and ungraded books.

Works well for modern CGC Slabs. I have my slabs in plastic protectors and the fit is fine. I opted to get 12" x 8" x 0.5" Polyethylene Foam Sheets for extra protection. If you do this you will lose HALF of the storage but they will be really secured. The 12x8 sheets will not cover the entire slab, but I think this is good as it leaves space for you to be able to grab each slab. I can fit 14 CGC Modern Slabs very comfortably with a foam sheet between each comic including the ends. I could probably fit 15, but it will be a tight squeeze. If you eliminate the end foams, you will easily fit 15. Probably a little overkill for lesser value comics, but I think it looks good. My pics show a 12x8 foam next to and also on top of a slab for reference. Overall, I am really happy with them and will be buying more.

We like this product and it seems to be very good for storing comics in the hard cases. We have a couple and my father has purchased at least 12 of these and we find they stack pretty well (we have only done 3 high once full). I hate that there isn't more options out there a bit cheaper but still happy with the purchase and will be buying more.

These bins are great for slabs! Well made and not overly heavy. Definitely worth buying to keep slabs secure and stored.

UPDATE: When it's assembled, it's quite good for slabbed books. Once I got it together, I like it very much, enough that I received a second one as a Christmas gift. THE TRICK IS to only connect each side 1/2 way MAX on each set of pins, just enough to grab the other side.. Line everything up when all the pieces are together THEN go ahead and pinch each pair of pins and work in one direction. You absolutely need that play on each side to have any hope of a smooth assembly. Any rushing of the assembly or assumptions made will cost you. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1) My first 1 star review and I'd do 0 if possible 2) I've been a mechanical engineer for decades. The amount of effort to put this item together is not justified. It is in fact ridiculous. Can you put it together? Sure if you don't have a life or anything better to do. Given the time and effort involved, it's obvious why this item come disassembled and it doesn't have anything to do with shipping costs. There have to be better options in this market and I'm about to find some. Only way I'd buy this item is if they charged $35 then gave you a $34 credit to assemble the thing.

Easy to assemble. It is sturdy as long as all the tabs snap into place and doesn't really need glue to secure it together like the other reviewer said. But if you really want to be extra sure go ahead and do a drop of glue. I like the sturdy lid with the lock tabs and the stackability of the bins as it locks into place with one another. Comes with 1 divider, it's useful to have if you don't have enough to fill the bin, you can use the divider to place so slabs dont tip over. Bins hold about 30-35 older slab casing ans holds about 25 newer slabs because newer slabs are much thicker. Also has finger grooves on the bins allow for easy carrying. BCW did a fantastic job with these bins. I highly recommend getting these bins. It is more expensive than the cardboard counterpart but so worth it.

I love this graded comic storage box. If you are storing graded books that have the same size CGC slab (most current standard slab size) then you can store 26 total. Personally they are a bit of a struggle to pinch and try to grab out of the box when it’s maxed out from end to end. I like to store 25. They are still plenty snug but you’ll have a little more wiggle room at the top to flip through and grab what you need. If you are storing slabs that vary in thickness then the amount you can store will vary from those numbers. Also the box can tend to sway a little in the walls. If you want to have a little extra structural support using the divider that comes with it will help keep the shape even more solid. Easy to assemble, Highly recommend.

Waited for the price to drop to a comfortable level before buying again. This is best in class for storage and protection of graded comic slabs. It's a must.
