Badger Balm, Sore Muscle Rub - 2 oz

This is my GO-TO for all my MUSCLE ACHES! I first came across this muscle rub in a Sprout’s store on a night after a long day at a convention. After being in high heels all day, my feet and my calves were hurting like no other. When I first put it on, I was surprised that there wasn’t the usual “SPICY”, cooling feeling that most muscle rubs give you. I instantly doubted whether it would work and started regretting my purchase, as this is definitely a more expensive option compared to your standard muscle rubs. However, after about ten-ish minutes I realized that I NO LONGER FELT my throbbing feet and the tightness in my calves! The aches were GONE! I’ve used this muscle rub almost nightly since then! I love that I can trust the ingredients, not feel bad about applying it on my body, plus I’m a fan of the GINGERY scent!

I deal with tons of secondary muscle main from nerve and back damage from a bad fall, and this stuff feels amazing at the end of a long day. Distinctly relieving without any intense sensations and a very pleasant smell to it. Not too hard to apply, just remember to wash your hands well after application!

I got this because I can’t use icy hot or any other menthol patches due to an allergic reaction, no matter how little I use, my ENTIRE body will turn lobster red because of the menthol. this was recommended as an alternative. It works great! It soothes without the burning feeling, the smell isn’t overpowering and I don’t turn into a walking blister!

My love for this brand started with the badger cuticle oil and I ended up using it all over my hands and bought two more. One for travel and one for commuting. Fast forward and I purchased the badger warming massage oil (liquid), the solid tin and the night time solid tin. I adore them all. The smell so Devine and soaks in beautifully. Even my sophisticated 6 year old boy asks for my "special night time lotion" for his hands and temples - my son is sensory specific and when his hands get too dry he gets upset yet hates lotion...this oil soaks in so nicely and he says it allows his hands to dry how he like them to feel. Never greasy.

I love this rub. It is warm and soothing to a very injured knee.

A great product, works to ease muscle pain, at a reasonable price.

Love the cayenne and ginger smell. It smells wonderful! However, if you are looking for something to help your pain, then this isn’t the rub for you. It claims to be soothing and warming, but I didn’t experience this at all. It smells awesome and I enjoyed the smell of it as I applied it to my sprained knee. However, I did not experience any warmth from applying this. When I buy a rub to help ease my pain, with a gentle warmth, that is what I expect it to do. I have been using Badger products for years and am very disappointed with this product. If you just want a general purpose balm to keep hands nice and soft, this would probably work well for that. If you want something that soothes and provides a warming effect when applied, then this isn’t the product for you. If this had the same pain relief that I get from Tiger Balm, with the incredible smell of the Badger rub, I’d be a customer for life.

Smells lovely. Not that easy to apply as it is quite hard in the tin .the plus is it has eased my shoulder pain .very please I found this.

Badger balms of all types are wonderful and work well - sore muscle rub is a nice alternative to something stinkier like deep heat. This is a pleasant smell and warming with ginger and caynenne. All badger balms are great - worth the money for something that much nicer and it is always nice to have little tins of something. Great gifts. Amazing that badgers can make such things :-)

I bought this for my partner when he was having pain in his feet from diabetic nuropathy and I read that chili based creams could help. This does seem to really help with his feet. It is quite thick and so you don't need a lot of it and it gives a warm glowing feeling to the skin. It smells pleasant, is easy to apply and does not leave a mess.

I have a chronic problem with an area between my middle lower back and my hip. Walking any distance aggravates it. I am sore and achy, in a very localised spot. I've been through physio, and I do specific exercises which are supposed to help ... but don't. I have no idea why this works, but it does. I suspect the cayenne in the rub stimulates blood flow, which in turn eases the pain. This particular rub isn't a cure-all. I have problems with arthritis in my hands, and the sore muscle rub doesn't help that. However, Badger has a cooling rub that does.

I have used this for years and find it a wonderful help. Howeverplease do try to supply it in the larger 56g tins. The smaller ones are too fiddling to use.
