Works great to use with dutch pouring painting technique. Good price in comparison to other products

Brings old latex paint back to life !
This product is the BEST ! I have quite a few gallons of interior latex paint, all different colors, that I use around the house to do " touch up work". After awhile, like 1-3 years, latex paint that sits in a can on a shelf tends to dry up and get lumpy. Now, instead of throwing out the paint, I add a few ounces of Floetrol to the lumpy paint, and mix it well. The lumps disappear, the paint thins out a bit, and it's like a brand new gallon of paint ! Just don't add too much, or you will change the color a little bit. Follow the directions on the product. Now, it won't bring back paint that is totally dried out. But, it works fantastic on you're average paint that needs a little help. Much cheaper than buying a new gallon. A little goes a long way. This product has a very long shelf life too. Give it a good shaking before you use it to mix it's contents. Very happy with this product. Flood has been around a long time. This stuff saved me a lot of money by not buying new paint.

Usually floetrol works great as a paint conditioner. This particular item did, but it had an awful smell. I found out much too late that the company that makes it was aware that a bad batch went out and they wanted to hear from anyone who happened to purchase that bad batch. I would've told then if I hadn't you've out about it well over a year after I purchased this. Like I said, it still works as paint conditioner, it just had an absolutely awful smell from the first time I opened it. Oh well, things happen. I'll still be happy to purchase this butane in the future, because having paint conditioner is a great help while doing little craft paints or while painting an entire wall. It helps the paint you in so much smoother and if you find a mistake that's already starting to dry, you can go over the spot with the conditioner and fix it. Any other time, floetrol is 5 stars for sure, I just had to take a star off for three TERRIBLE smell that this bottle had upon initial opening. I wish I'd seen the recall much sooner.

I wish I had bought this product sooner, because the final effect on my painting is truly beautiful! It took time to fully dry but that was no problem. I could not believe how beautiful the metallic colours appeared! Will most definitely buy this product again! Thank you!
