Amazing on Thick Course Curly Hair Too!
This iron exceeded my expectations when I received it. I have long hair past my shoulders which is extremely thick, course, and curly. Some areas actually are wirey rather than curly. I had already washed and just straightened my hair with a vent brush and blow dryer the day before (I can't wash every day). Directions said to mist your hair with Bed Head hairspray (of course) mine was already sprayed with Frizz Ease hair spray. I had not straightened my hair with a flat iron prior to using the deep waver, I had as stated only used the hair dryer and vent brush which straightens my hair but does not make it smoothe by any means at all. There is a pamphlet with the iron that says it's a styling guide. It is basic directions. Iron has 3 settings. Low ~ For Fine Hair, Medium ~ For Normal to Medium Hair, & High For Thick, or Course Hair. I set the iron on High for my hair type. Breifly put the hair dryer to my hair again with the vent brush to loosen my hair up as I had had it pulled up for work and there were lines in my hair from the bands used. I then pulled the top part of my hair up on top of my head, and began using the waver on the underlying layers of hair first. I used another reviewers tip and put the flatter portion of the iron on the top side of my hair and moved the waver over it section by section. It took me about 20 minutes to do my entire head which is even faster than using the Instyler (Works as good as the old school Chi Irons that got much hotter than the Chi's of today) I also have for straightening. My hair looks amazing! Wavy, but not tacky. I just took a section of my hair ran the brush through it again to smoothe. Started at the root, held for a few seconds and moved down the length of hair. It was easy to even do the back of my head. This iron would be perfect for creating cute little updo's as well. My hair is TOTALLY UNRULY AND VERY DIFFICULT usually requiring me to take close to an hour to make a half way tolerable hairstyle after getting out of the shower. Who has that kind of time each day? Not me! So this is a true blessing at an affordable price. This iron got hot FAST! And made my Do really cute in no time! I'm sold! I may go ahead and get another one so when it wears out in a couple of years. I won't have to worry about tracking down another one :O) Oh yes, some people talked about the size and width of the iron. It is probably about 2.5 inches wide. If you have a bob that is at least jaw length you could use this iron. Just keep in mind after you go over each section you may want to pull on the hair to relax it a bit while it is still hot & your waves won't look too big for your length of hair. I did this to relax the wave that was on my hair part & it worked great. With the rest of my head I let the waves cool completely then fron the underside of my hair ran my fingers through all of my hair to loosen the hair without messing up the outer layer & I came out with smoothe beach wavy hair! So thrilled! Hope this helps everyone!

Made magic to my fine hair!
I am super happy with this Bedhead waver! My hair is SUPER baby fine and about to my collarbone—it’s not thin but I don’t have thick hair at all. I thought with how baby fine my hair is, that this wouldn’t work so well, but I am very pleased with the results. So far, so good and so far deserves my 5 star rating (I don’t give out five stars easily). I was able to have pretty waves in less than five minutes—just trying it out I heated the wand, and then pulling up a few sections of hair at a time, I clamped the sections for about 8 seconds (I could probably do shorter). I did varying things: some sections I just did at the middle, some closer to the top, and some I did in two places on that section and then let it set for a minute to cool—just to see a sample of what it would do. Just doing that quick test of it resulted in really pretty deep waves. I then brushed through it to see what it would do and that made looser more relaxed waves. I figured the waves would just go flat because that’s what my hair usually does, as baby fine as it is, but those waves lasted all day, and when I slept on them, the next morning there were still some beachy waves left. SUPER HAPPY! This is much easier than the wand I used before, where you wrap sections of hair around the wand, and though I still like that product, this barrel clamp was much faster and made deeper waves that lasted. This made me look as if I have twice the hair I have! And, for the test, I didn’t use any product. So with a little product (especially something to protect my hair from the heat), and taking my time with it and experimenting with looks, I am expecting even better results. This waver was at a big discount store for almost twice as much as it is here on Amazon so it’s a great buy—snap it up while it’s only a little over $16! A bargain, easy to use, fast, and made me happy: win-win.

A Pretty Descent, Inexpensive Alternative to Expensive Wavers
I bought this waver because I'm cheap and I didn't want to dish out $50-$100+ on those fancy wavers. I really like my Bed Head Deep Waver, but there's a few things that bug me and thus why I gave it four out of five stars: -It's very heavy. It's a good arm workout doing your hair with this thing because it's pretty huge and weights much more than any of my other curling irons. (That picture with the size proportion ain't lyin'!) So if you're a parent looking to buy this your kid this or a younger person wondering if you can hold this thing for 20 to 30 minutes by yourself, I'd say no. This is going to need adult supervision for kids and if you're kind of weak. like me. you may want to have a friend help you. -It smells like crayons when it heats your hair. Straight up waxy crayons. It's not great. It also steams a lot when you're using it and that's pretty concerning for me. I always feel like it's killing my hair much more than my other curling irons. So I use this on special occasions or when I'm on day 3 or day 4 hair when I know it can handle the heat better. I WILL say that once those curls are locked in, you can put them in braids or in a bun and it can last another couple of days and look pretty darn good. At the time that I bought this I was heavily thinking of getting a permanent wave perm and I think I'm actually set with this tool. -The heating knob is super easy to bump into. I probably accidentally turn it about 5 - 6+ times as I'm doing my hair and it's really annoying. Here's where the price really shows in the design. There HAD to be a better placement for that heat setting knob. But hey, you get what you pay for and for all the things I've listed here I'm not disappointed with this product. -The cord is a bit short for my liking. I have a handful of wonderful curling irons and I'm pleased with how long the cord is for these tools. This was the ONLY disappointing feature of this waver. Getting that cord to work with your to help curl your whole head is a challenge for sure. Overall, it's a handy tool. My waves look very pretty every time. If you've never used one of these before, it takes some getting use to but I think it's worth it! It's big, but I think you're going to run into that with any waver you come across. PLEASE be careful using this or any waver because it is very easy to burn yourself badly--I have burned myself several times and I'm no amateur with hot tools. I won't lie eventually I may buy a nicer waver when I feel like it's worth the investment, but for now this is a great, inexpensive alternative.

AMAZING!
All I can say is WOW! I love this deep waver! I have the kind of wavy hair that isn't really curly, but not straight either (if that makes sense to any of you) and my hair is super thin. I have a lot of trouble with curling irons because the curl NEVER stays unless i feel like spraying it down with freeze spray and having crunchy curls all day. This dream machine, however, is AMAZING! As others have commented, once you're done and curls are set, the more you comb or run your fingers through your hair, the bigger and "fluffier" your curls will get. If you don't want volume with your curls, don't comb through your hair when your done. I use a light hair spray before I apply the curler and of course, a heat protector spray (highly recommended as this curler gets EXTREMELY hot!) and then lightly spray down again when done. My curls last all day and I can even get a second day out of them if I pull my hair back loosely. I would recommend using this in dirty hair (day after you wash it) as I have not gotten as great of results if I use it on freshly washed and blow dried hair. It does take a while to do your hair; I have shoulder length hair and it takes me about an hour to do my whole head. There is a lock button on the top to keep the curler closed when curling your hair and while not in use, but the lock doesn't keep it tight on the hair while using it. therefore, I'm forced to sit there while curling and hold it tightly closed with my hands......after an hour of doing so, my hands certainly hurt! Otherwise, I love this machine and would highly recommend!!! It's so easy to use; just put it on a section of your hair and close and hold. Voila! you have amazing curls :) For the price, you cant beat this!

It's possible to curl Asian pin-straight hair with this!
Asian hair is notoriously difficult to curl, so I thought this one would curl my hair for maybe a couple hours and I'd experiment with hair product to see which one would keep the curls in. For the first time in my life, I have wavy hair without the perm! It survives ponytails, sleeping, wind, and washes away with a shower. It's the perfect non-perm solution! I was astounded when I woke up two days ago from the first night I used this thing and had wavy hair! I didn't use heat protectant like they recommended, but I only held each section of hair in the iron for 5-7 seconds on the lowest heat setting and did pretty small sections. No gel, mousse, product and these waves persist! I don't know what kind of sorcery this is but WOW WOW WOW. I was convinced my hair would be straight forever unless I committed to a perm, but this did it and now all my childhood hair dreams are a reality. I can't hype this enough. I don't know why this works versus curling irons and styling mousse or spray or the sleep with your hair wet in a sock bun trick but it DOES. I'm so stoked! Like other reviews I've read on here mention, this thing heats up super fast and the heat dial isn't very precise. I caution against using the highest heat setting because the lowest heat setting did it for me and again these waves basically survive everything short of washing your hair in the shower/bath and drowning them while swimming. Because it gets hot fast, I baby it after I turn it off and unplug it so nothing catches fire or burns or melts while it's cooling down. That's my only quip with this thing, but I also was able to get the job done on the lowest heat setting so maybe for other types of hair or hairstyles that require a really hot setting, this is the caveat to having something that can get upwards of 400ºF. You better have a way to set this thing down without worrying about the fire hazard because this does not come with it's own kickstand or heat guard! The photo is a full 24 hours after I used the waver (again, no product to hold it nor heat protectant applied, literally just my showered, air dried hair). I slept on these waves, put them in a ponytail for work, walked in the wind, even sweated a bit because I was moving some heavy stuff and running up and down stairs at work! I can't emphasize enough how surprised I am with the results of this waver tool! This has NEVER happened to me before! If you're an Asian who's had unfulfilled dreams of wavy hair and are on the brink of getting a perm, try this first!

Good tool for the price, but has some problems.
I bought this to make my natural waves look a little more "put together", so to speak, and this waver seemed to do the trick at first. But the second time I used it, it started making a horrible screeching noise when I close the plates. It's so loud I am tempted to wear earbuds while I use it! It's honestly becoming a deterrent from using it; I'm sure some WD-40 would do the trick but I would rather not have that smell on my head, if you know what I mean. Anyway, here's what I learned so far with this tool: 1) if you have fine hair like mine, don't use the highest heat setting. It makes the waves look crazy, and totally fries your ends. 2) I find that when I use a little less pressure on the clamps, the waves look a lot more natural and not like I've used a tool to get them. 3) use this the night before and sleep on them - they look much better in the morning! My head looks straight from the 80s when I'm done but they're quite normal by the time I wake up. Overall, it's a good tool, but boy do I wish this plastic wouldn't scream at me like a banshee every time I clamp it shut.

Easy, fast, looks good! Great for non-fussers.
This is a great hair tool! Background: My hair is stick straight, shoulder length, and fine. I wash it 1-2 times a week. Normally, it holds curl for a few hours at the most, and it needs a lot crap to get any volume. Using the waver: I just started grabbing sections as wide as would fit in and sticking it in the waver, holding the end sticking out of the waver to put in later. I highly dislike spending time with my hair or fussing of any kind, so I do not even know how to put my hair up into sections for curling. This was nice because I grabbed sections from the top, waved them, then grabbed a chunk from below... here and there... If I saw a section that looked like it needed it, I grabbed it and waved it. No method, no sectioning, no evenness. With the waver, if some small sections were missed and were still straight, it didn't matter- still looks good! The whole process took me 5-7 mins. Seriously. Mostly because I hate spending time with my hair, so I just kinda stuck hair in the waver and continued rather willy-nilly. But ya know what? It looked AWESOME! Afterwards: I let the heat "set" as instructed before I started fluffing my new waves. It lasted all day. And then some. It lasted FIVE DAYS! Granted, some of the drastic waves loosened, but it literally lasted 5 days without me doing anything. No hairspray. I just wore a shower cap over it when I showered. Simple. Notes: If you have longer and/or thicker hair, I think this will take longer. I part my hair to the left, and I can grab the entire right section in one hand easily. If you wash your hair every day (you should consider not doing that... "mine gets greasy" is bullcrap. You go through a period of greasiness at first because your hair is used to being overwashed, but I have fine previously oily hair that now can go a week without looking greasy. So start going longer between washing your hair.) Anyways. As I was saying. If you wash your hair everyday, the wave will not last as long, obviously. But it certainly will last all day! Overall, I LOVE this thing. For someone who never does stuff with her hair, but wants voluminous hair, this is great! Lasts for days, easy to use, don't need products, and it's quick. I highly recommend.

Exactly what I have been looking for!
My hair is super, super straight, and never wants to keep a curl. I've tried everything I know to get volume AND that lovely beach-tousled wave - rollers, velcro rollers, numerous gels/sprays/mousse/shampoo & conditioner.... nothing has worked to achieve what I had envisioned in my head. Then I found this waver! I think I first found out about it through a pin on Pinterest. When I'd read all the reviews on Amazon and saw the pictures people had uploaded, it sounded like it was exactly what I had been looking for. I purchased it but still kept my reservations... I've been disappointed SO many times on things that secretly I thought this would be the same outcome. I was so wrong. This machine is PERFECT for getting big waves! As I mentioned before, my hair never wants to take a curl, but I can use this on the same day that my hair is washed without any product in it to help keep the wave. Depending on how tightly you close the clamps around your hair, you can get a tight crimp or a soft wave. I've used hairspray first to help set and then no product at all until all my hair is waved and then use mousse to help seal the curls. Any way works. It does take a little bit to get used to - I have found that you really have to take care to line the edge of the waver up to the last wave you did, otherwise your waves will be misshapen and a bit odd looking. Also, I have very long hair (a little below mid-back) and a lot of it, and it takes me 45-50min to do my entire head. It takes a while but it is well worth it; every time I wave my hair I get compliments from people. Also the waves last for LONG time. I've gone four days with the waves using dry shampoo in between and the waves look just as awesome as they did on the first day. Definitely recommend this!

Perfect waves
I recently purchased these hair ties, and I’m extremely happy with them. They are strong, durable, and hold my hair securely in place all day without slipping. What I love most is that they are gentle on my hair and don’t cause pulling or breakage when I remove them. They stretch well, maintain their shape, and work perfectly for both ponytails and buns. The quality is excellent, and they are comfortable enough to wear for long periods. Whether I’m exercising, working, or just going about my day, these hair ties keep my hair neat and secure. Overall, this is a great product that offers both comfort and reliability. I highly recommend these hair ties to anyone looking for a dependable and hair-friendly option.

SO HAPPY I went with this waver...
I've been on a lookout for a tool that can give me a wavy look. For several months, I looked at all kinds of triple barrel irons but I couldn't justify spending over $75 for one. Then I stumbled upon a review that included this Bed Head Deep Waver. I got curious and checked Amazon. Lo and behold, there was an open-box waver available. I contemplated the purchase and eventually took the risk. This time, it worked out in my favour! + Shipping was fast and the tool was in good working order. It heated up quickly. It waved my hair without issue. The temperature-control allowed me to wave thin hair at low temperature and thick hair at max temperature. The locking mechanism is very convenient! Best of all, it gave me waves (not the crimped look) and it didn't fall flat by the end of the day! Oh... and I spent a third of what I may have spent at a salon store here in the city! On the attached photo, to get me from straight hair to wavy, it took me about 10 minutes... (I've got long, thick, hair). As of now, I'm so very happy with the BedHead Deep Waver! My hope is that it lasts. Only time will tell, I guess. Best of luck, Hairstyling Reader! :)

Works great
Heats up fast and is easy to use. I only wish it made bigger waves as I can make it look like this by doing Braids but I guess that was my bad for not checking the size.

Best Hair Tool Since My Flat Iron
This is one of my best purchases. I have fine/thin/wavy/curly/frizzy hair, about 6 inches past my shoulders. It doesn’t look good when I diffuse it. It looks pretty good when I curl it (1” barrel gives me nice wavey curls) but it doesn’t last and it goes pretty flat at my roots. I LOVE this waver. I’ve used it twice— super easy even the first time and it took about five minutes. I did my whole head of hair in 6 or 7 sections. I was worried at first about lining up the waves (you kind of overlap the last wave as you move down each section of hair) but it was so easy and you don’t have to be too precise. The first time I used it the waves lasted 5 days and would have lasted longer but it was time to wash my hair. At night I put my hair in a loose ponytail on the very top of my head— with a scrunchie so it doesn’t make weird creases. Having it up all night gives tons of root volume. I didn’t brush it in the morning (or ever). This tool gets very hot on the highest setting. I use a heat protectant (that’s the only product I use on my hair) and I do use the highest setting but I only clamp the hair for a few seconds. Thankfully I haven’t burned myself yet. You’ll be really happy with this tool if you have hair like mine!

Good but....
This curler is easy to use and gives beautiful waves but damages my hair like no other. I take good care of my hair and use heat protectant. After using it just a few time my hair is damaged with quite a few split ends. It's a good product but buyer beware.
