I need to offer a bunch of risk-taking practice exercises for my predominately introverted class, and knew theater games would be a useful place to start. Simple to read and execute activities, not to mention a great variety of options. Great book to supplement my syllabus creation Review: Great for writing speeches - This book has some amazing advice about writing speeches. A good read , entertaining and helped me in my communication class.

Not plug and play. Needs supplemental resource website.
Not a plug-and-play resource. Says material can be easily copied and handed out. Not so. The book is smaller than 8.5x11, and some of the material is split between pages, so another obstacle to copying - meaning that you will have to type everything out. This book needs a supplemental website with digital handouts, worksheets, and PowerPoints. And if we are getting up-to-date, a question bank for each section to create QTI files or the like for Canvas or Blackboard, etc. Not lazy but what teacher has the time these days. Any help we can get, right? Otherwise great book and resource.

Great Resource for Teaching
I teach speech at a university, and I love how this book lays out simple exercises I can do if I have time leftover in class.

but it's pretty dated.
The book has some ideas that I adapted for modern use, but it's pretty dated.

Excellent teaching tool!
This book was all I needed to create a fun public speaking course curriculum for middle school students. The layout was clear and easy to read. There were many interesting and fun activities/lessons which I could incorporate into the lesson. There were a lot of fun and creative ideas that made the students WANT to speak in front of a group! Great supplement for the classroom!
