Tamiya extra thin cement? GOOOOOD :D
This tightly sealed container has a long shelf life, I've had a bottle of it sit for two years and still be good to use. Easy to use, put some on plastic piece and press against another piece. Reapply more to the joint with pressure to firmly affix the parts. There is enough in this bottle to assemble many miniatures, ~2k pts Warhammer 40k. Compared to the citadel brand this costs less and has more. Dries and cures quickly while still having a decent working time. Biggest con: The smell. The container when open will be pungent with the acetone scent. Use in a ventilated area and screw brush cap back on when not actively gluing to help with the smell. If the smell is a major deterrant for you look into a company that sells a straw applicator like Testors or Citadel. These will contain the smell much better but I have had difficulty with the glue flowing too quickly and being uncontrollable with these bottles.

It works if you use it as intended.
This glue arrived extremely well packaged and the top was so tight I had some difficulty opening it. While the smell is significant, it is not overpowering and similar to other glues that I have used. It is my perception that those who say this glue does not work are not using it correctly. While if you work extremely fast, you can put glue on both parts and then press them together. However, this is not how this glue was designed to be used. Dry fit the two parts together and then paint the glue on either side of the joint. The glue used capillary action to flow into the joint and dries fairly quickly. Any glue left on the surface...whether the back of front...will evaporate in a few minutes and leave no mark This is why it doesn't work as expected if it is placed on both sides of pieces yet to be pressed together. If you work at all slow, it simply evaporates and glues nothing. Frankly, it is amazing and leaves no residue or marring. If I can't get at the joint, I simply use more common plastic cement as I have for years, but this option is certainly attractive to me. Even some "How to" videos get it wrong. Be careful what you watch and follow correct directions and you will be very pleased with this product.

Great product, delivery over and above expectation.
Arrived a day ahead of the projected delivery date. My first time using the thin cement vs standard Testors cement. A real game-changer for those parts that take a lot of manipulation to get into place and just make a mess to put cement on first. Dry fit the parts, get them just right, and then the built in brush applicator is perfect to get a tiny bit of cement in just where you need it. I wish I had known about this 45 years ago (did it even exist then?).

Works extremely well.
I just got into gunpla. So I’m using a lot of these tools for gunpla for the first time. So when I broke a plastic piece and used this glue for the first time I didn’t know what to expect. Put some glue on the pieces and left it over night. The next day I was shocked by what I found. It had worked perfectly! You couldn’t even see the crack anymore. I was impressed. Customer for life now.

Great product
This product is some of the best glue you’re gonna buy in the market today for model kit building but keep in mind. It’s not like superglue and you have to make sure that it goes on raw plastic. If your plastic is painted over, it won’t melt the paint and it won’t stick. What you do you brush it on you hold it together you push it and it melts the plastic and actually seal the sea as well. But for fine scale modeling and I highly recommend this. Read the instructions on what plastics they use it for and you can’t go wrong.

Amazing for normal-to-large minis, good for tiny ones
With the myriad of plastic adhesives available to miniature painters, it took me trial-and-error and recommendations from more experienced people for me to finally try Tamiya Extra-Thin. I will admit, I was worried that it wouldn't work well with smaller models (the ones that are assembled from contact instead of by slotting together), but it worked very well, with the only difficulty being holding the small model parts firmly together while the cement sets. On normal sized models, this cement is a dream - getting into cracks without having to worry about over-application, while providing strong bonding in roughly 10-15 seconds. I will say that using such thin cement was more challenging with those models, so buyer beware, but the product itself works beautifully. The tiny brush applicator allows for exact placement of the cement, preventing ugly glue spots in undesired areas. From now on, I will sing the praises of Tamiya Extra-Thin to anyone and everyone who will listen, likely to the detriment of my inter-personal relationships. SO yes, I highly recommend Tamiya ET, and you should use this forever. (as other reviewers have mentioned, this product will not work on resin models, so make sure you know your model type before making this purchase)

Best glue
This is very good for repairs and kit bashing. It's easy to use and dries fast. I've been using it for a ton of model kits and still have plenty to spare.

The Gold Standard and a Fantastic Step Up From Citadel
If you have been using Citadel plastic glue and are looking for something that offers more control and a cleaner finish then Tamiya Extra Thin is a total game changer. While Citadel glue is great for general assembly it can sometimes be a bit gloopy and hard to control. This Tamiya cement however is a fantastic alternative that takes your builds to the next level. The 40ml square bottle is incredibly stable on the desk and the fine applicator brush built into the cap makes those bulky plastic nozzles feel like a thing of the past. The real magic here is the ultra low viscosity and capillary action. Instead of applying a bead of glue and hoping it stays put you can dry fit your parts together first then touch the brush to the seam and watch as the glue instantly sucks into the joint. It works by slightly melting the plastic to create a welded bond that is incredibly strong. Because it is so thin it evaporates quickly which significantly reduces the risk of accidental fingerprints or messy overflow that can ruin fine detail. The final result is a much cleaner build with far less cleanup or sanding required. It is perfect for everything from delicate infantry models to large scale vehicles where you want seamless joins. For any hobbyist who wants professional results without the mess of thicker adhesives this is an essential upgrade for your workbench. It is a hobby staple that truly lives up to the hype.

Parfait
