I liked how it supports my ankle. The doctor told me to wear a boot. Just way too painful. Ordered this and it did the trick. Only thing I don't like is that is is not easy to fit into a shoe. It is summer and I can't wear with my sandals. Too bulky. So I use it every minute that I'm home and don't wear it when I go out. One other problem. I could not find an ordering chart on the different sizes. The brace could have been ordered in a smaller size for me. But it has get Velcro strips, so I just pull them a little more snug. I’m now in the fourth week of wearing this brace all day everyday and I am very impressed with how it is holding up as my ankle heals from a severe sprain/torn ligaments and tendon damage. The strapping method allows you to determine the degree of support and compression as the swelling in your foot decreases and this has been ideal. It fits well, functions as you would want, and is made very well. The Velcro tabs are heavy duty and stay secure during all day wearing without pulling away. I went through 3 different types of supports in the beginning after coming of crutches and a splint and settled on this support and have been very pleased.

I purchased both the Small and Large sizes of this item, because my shoe size is at the crossover. The small came first, and was a tight fit if you have a wide foot. After wearing it for a few hours, I noticed that it did help with the pain from my tendonitis, but after I took it off due to the tight fit, I noticed a blister on my ankle. I thought that was just because I had forced the small one on and it must have rubbed, but the next day the large one showed up, and I wore it slightly loose to make sure that there wouldn't be more blisters. After a few hours with minimal foot movement (I was worried friction might have caused it), I removed it and noticed more blisters. It does work to stabilize the foot and helps a lot with the pain from tendonitis, but I would recommend anyone that buys this wash it thoroughly before use, and consider using with a sock.

This brace provides good support for my ankle which was broken in 3 places in 2008 and now has athritis. I just am not sure if I had strapped it too tight, because I ended up with pain across my instep. I wore it for most of one day and it was only when my toes and/or foot flexed that I felt the discomfort. After I removed the brace, the pain continued well into the next day. So I was able to alleviate the pain in my ankle but seem to have traded it for pain acrosss the top of my foot. However, I still think it might have been user error, so I will give it another try and try to remember to write an update to this review.

I got this to use after I injured my ankle. It fits OK inside of an athletic shoe that is very loose, so that is great. It seems to be protecting and supporting my ankle while the injury is healing. I'm a week in and so far very happy with the product. It is comfortable enough that now that I am not in constant pain, I don't think about it being there. Any my ankle feels much better. Thanks for a great product! I am confident I will have it and be able to use it for support for a long time.

I recently tore the ligments off my ankle leaving me with a swollen ankle that could not support my weight. I was getting ready to take a trip and concerned about how I was going to be able to get around and enjoy doing so. I wore this support over a compression sock and then wore a tennis shoe I had that was for wide feet. I did great on our vacation. I had to hobble some but this did not hamper me from doing anything. Loved the support it gave me and was so easy to put on and very compact when not wearing.

I have 2 sprained ankles, right ankle I have broken twice! RiptGear is a must have!!! Supper easy to put on, I can adjust how tight I need to wrap my ankles. I can wear comfortably, fits perfectly with sneakers and my winter boots! I Highly Recommend😁 I wear a size 9 in sneakers went the the large/ Xl. I’ll be back to running very soon !!
