Fun Build, Clear Instructions, App Needs Work
This building kit was a great choice for working together with my 12-year-old. The instructions were clear, and I especially liked the 1:1 pictures—they made it easy to find the right parts. A few pieces were tough to snap together, so I ended up helping with some of the assembly. The app was disappointing, though. Even after downloading the right one and picking the right motor, it just wouldn’t connect to Bluetooth—the light kept blinking, and nothing worked. Besides that, the set is fun. The blue LEDs look awesome, and even though it’s pretty noisy, my kid really enjoyed running it. But -1 star for a non-functioning app. If I get it to work, I'll update to 5 stars. It took about 3 sessions of 2-3 hrs each to complete the build. With some breaks in between.
