USA Today bestselling author Meghan Quinn is back with a hilarious new rom-com series. Sometimes the wedding of the century calls for desperate measures. And sometimes those desperate measures are to pretend the person you hate most is actually your boyfriend. After years of working her tail off at her event-planning business, Maggie Mitchell is ready for a vacation. With nothing on her mind but R & R, she's enjoying the warm weather of Bora Bora when in saunters Brody McFadden, her brother's best friend and also her sworn enemy. Thanks to years of tension between the two—kicked off by a make-out session at her brother's wedding that ended horribly—Maggie has sworn to stay away from the man. That is, until she finds out he's in Bora Bora for his boss's daughter's wedding, hoping to use the trip to win a real future at the company. Maggie promised herself she wouldn't even think of work on the island, but as word spreads about the "wedding of the century" taking place in the midst of her vacation, she realizes offering her services as a bridesmaid and planner could bring her business to the next level. The only catch? She needs to pose as Brody's girlfriend to get the job…while letting him stay in her peaceful bungalow. Tensions rise, irritation flairs, and despite years' worth of bickering behind closed doors, Maggie can't quite squash the sparks building between her and her new fake boyfriend, especially when she learns the real reason their first kiss was cut short. But as the wedding day draws closer and everything starts to go wrong, it just might be Brody who sends Maggie's business crashing down—and her heart along with it. Review: 3.25 stars - I could feel the chemistry between Brody & Maggie in the beginning. Their banter was fantastic and those little adventures they went on were really funny but it put Brody in so many embarassing situations. While I liked Brody, I hated Maggie equally. She was rude and all she did was misunderstand him at every chance and then run away without letting him explain. I feel like this book was very unserious and filled with comedy so everything was taken lightly but what happened with Brody made me feel so sad for him. I sympathized with him which is why I liked him more but tbh he was quite cringey. So no character was perfect in the book but the humours situations saved it. While I enjoyed reading some parts the book just wasn't as good as I was expecting it to be. Review: Very entertaining - I laughed so hard a couple of times that I was in tears Funny, witty, heart warming, feel good rom com

Muy predecible
Soy fan de Megan pero este si no me gusto. Se me hizo súper predecible y parecido al de Christina Lauren, Unhoneymooners. Leí reseñas de que era super cómico y creativo pero a mi no me pareció así.

Book Review
This is definitely my new favourite Meghan Quinn book! I laughed out loud SO many times, I had tears in my eyes on multiple instances. This book was - brothers best friend, fake dating, haters to lovers, non stop banter. It was fantastic and a super fun read. I feel in love with Maggie in The Way I Hate Him as the crazy, hilarious, loyal best friend and I’m so glad she got her moment to shine. She was just as hilarious and quirky in this book as the other. The back and forth with her and Brody was chef’s kiss. I also enjoyed and appreciated the fact that Brody was not made out to be the perfect masculine broody guy. Yes, he was the sexy, drool worthy guy that in the end is the cinnamon roll boyfriend, but had his own insecurities and was clumsy and embarrassing and it was refreshing to see something more realistic. As much as I love the hero type in the story that is strong and masculine, it's nice to see a different take that no one is perfect and has flaws. Also seeing a quirky bromance of the brothers best friend was such a fun touch. I loved their relationship. It was hilarious and so girly at times it was awesome. All in all I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it if you are looking for a fun, easy ready that also gives you some good laughs.

Loved it!!!! Amazing characters, lots of laughs 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Came across this as a suggested read in my Kindle Unlimited bit, and glad I read it as it really made me laugh (there were some downs with the ups and I also cried... yeah, I'm a sap what can I say?!?)...there were some scenes in Bora-Bora that almost had me peeing my pants for sure!!! [side bar, without giving too much away: why on Earth would Maggie have still played bridesmaid after everything is beyond me, she must be a very, very niiiiice person!] Anyway, the characters were so well-written, and I found myself loving (or hating.... Daddy Reggie, that's you!!!) them... The romance between her brother and her boyfriend was epic, had to laugh at that stupid pair... ALOT!!!!! (certainly sympathise with the women of whoever those characters were based on lol)... Very much an enjoyable read, will be looking for anymore in the series, seeing as there were at least 2 unattached billionaires sons, I feel there must be more to come(?) Can thoroughly recommend you give this a go! There's steamy rompypompy😉, but also a decent storyline and epic characters 👍🏻👌🏻 I read this book as part of my Kindle Unlimited subscription (free book but I have to pay for the subscription)
