400 grain total weight and includes field points
I bought these for target shooting and fun on the archery range. The manual for my Barnett Wildcat C6 crossbow is very explicit about minimum 400 grain minimum weight for bolts and some of the questions and reviews here suggested anywhere from about 360 grains to 410 grains. I also liked these because they included the 100 grain field points, which are not included on some other crossbow bolts sold on Amazon. I needed them anyway, so it was nice having them included. Although nominally these are the same as the Barnett Headhunter bolts that came with the crossbow, there were some noticeable differences that I chalk up to changes to the design and manufacture since I purchased my crossbow several years ago. Both are branded as Barnett Headhunter Custom Carbon 20". The originals are co-branded with Easton and say "Made in USA." These are not co-branded with Easton and the box says "Made in China." As for the bolts themselves, they are identical in weight (within the margin of error on my electronic scale of 0.1 g or about 1.5 grain), however the shaft in these seems to be almost imperceptibly larger in diameter and more of a satin finish, rather than the smoother glossier finish of the originals. The fletching is shorter, as well, and the nocking are slightly different, with these being the true half-moon style required by the crossbow (the originals having 3 protursions creating a half-moon-like nock). Of perhaps more importance, the center of gravity (the point where the bolt balances front to back) is about half an inch farther forward (toward the point) on these, compared with the originals, which may impact trajectory slightly. Finally, the weights: The box is labeled as 415 grain total weight. However, weighing all 5, the average is 400.1 grains each (+/- 1.5 grains). Individually, they are within the +/- 1.5 grain precision of my scale. I got the same results on a different electronic scale just to be sure. Perhaps the 415 grain labeled weight is due to crappy rounding in either measurement or conversion (if measured on scale reading out grams and not grains). When I purchased these, they were sold by Barnett and not a third-party seller, so I believe them to be genuine, and not a look-alike copy. They appear to be high quality, though different from previous Barnett Headhunter bolts in subtle, but noticeable way. Most disturbing is the significant discrepancy between the labelled weight of 415 grain and the actual weight of 400 grain. Although these are currently made and sold by Barnett, they are definitely different than previous Headhunter bolts you may have purchased or seen reviewed here.

Excellent bolts for crossbows
These bolts work well with my Barnett Jackal crossbow. Barnett Outdoors Carbon Crossbow 20-Inch Arrows with Field Points (5 Pack) These are Easton bolts and the quality is there. I did get one of the bolts where the fletching was a bit mis-shapen/not true, but in practicing with it, I didn't see a difference from the others...though disappointed with this one appearance....hence, the knockdown to four stars. I use 125gr field points to practice and Rage Crossbow X 2-Blade Broadhead in 125gr. for hunting The bolts fly true in practice to where I have gone 60yds with acuracy. Got a nice doe last weekend...see my review for the Rage broadheads. If there is any improvement with these that I would make is that I wish there were additional fletching color choices. Red & white is not a good choice for turkey hunting.

Supreme accuracy
It is important to note, when you add the total grain of the bolt and tip, it must equal the same as your bolt with a field tip! Shot my first deer with a Barnett Whitetail STR pro. Right now the XD 400 is $799 on Barnett‘s website. With the military discount, it isn’t close to the price I found at Cabelas! I just purchased my second crossbow and have recently bought the Demon Accurate Strike Pro. I have killed a deer with all three now. Supreme accuracy.

These really fly far
I have a Barnett Hunter STR crossbow. Very nice. Originally I bought the piledriver bolts Carbon Express PileDriver 22-Inch... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AU6COYY?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I got my scope zeroed for 20-30-45-57-73 yards on the 5 reticle lines. Impressively accurate just shooting using a shooting stick standing up for a little stability. I then tried these Barnett Headhunter bolts at 45 yards with third reticle line like before. Bolts sailed over my bag target. I kept moving back. The equivalent was 55 yards. So these fly 10 yards farther? Why? I am new to archery but that is a surprising difference. These are a little lighter. Same length (22in). The pile drivers were consistent so not talking about any freak bolts. All the new bolts also were consistent. I guess these are just really aerodynamic? I will go with these from now on but will need to re-zero and recalibrate all the reticle lines. I guess I should expect these new bolts to hit the bag from 83 yards yards out on the 5th line down. Wow. Pretty impressive weapon.

Very good
Perfect bolt for my Barnet jackal. Comes with a 100 gram field point and with a add on lighted nock And rage mechanical broadhead keeps me in the 300 gram bolt weight.

Great arrows
Arrows are great. They handled my 350 fps recruit XP CCD. They went right through my target and deep into the wood back stop. No damage taken by the arrow.

Buena compra
Excelente artículo, buen vuelo, preciso, y buena resistencia a impactos. Me encantaría que fueran más pesados para mayor penetración, ahora solo falta probarlos en un jabalí!
