Cooler Master MasterLiquid LC240E RGB Close-Loop AIO CPU Liquid Cooler, 240mm Radiator, Dual Chamber RGB Pump, Dual MF120R RGB Fans, RGB Lighting for AMD Ryzen/Intel LGA1151

I just upgraded from a 120 mm water cooler to this 240 mm model. For reference, my processor is rated at 125 W. I purposely picked the same brand cooler with the hopes that the mounting would be identical. For my socket, this unit requires the factory mounting bracket that many other coolers, including my original cooler, do not use. It is a simple process to install, if the bracket is already on the motherboard. Otherwise, you have to find one. Luckily, they are under $10 to replace, if missing. Performance wise, I had my old cooler from the factory constantly running at 100% fan speeds to maintain decent temps. This new cooler is so efficient that I had to reduce the fan speeds to keep the temps above ambient levels. (Can’t drop below ambient in Florida unless I want a wet processor.) At constant 100% fans, this new cooler dropped my temps to below 20° C. With the motherboard now in control and adjusting the fan speed, I am about 30° C at idle and peak in the 40’s with moderate activity. This is about a 10° C drop from my old cooler for idle temps. I am not a gamer so I rarely push the processor too hard. Video production is the main thing stressing the system and that only happens in bursts. Based on some other reviews, I used a name brand thermal paste instead of what came with the cooler. I don’t know how much that changes things. The setup works great so I like it. Also, important to note that the factory paste originally installed was still extremely wet so it had not dried out. For whatever reason, the old setup was just not keeping up with the heat being generated. If I am hearing the pieces correctly, the fans are extremely quiet and I hear a little bit of pump noise. Since I am always wearing headphones, I don’t hear anything with them on. The RGB system works, but seems to have extremely limited options. I wanted a decent, budget cooler, more than lights, so I am happy with the product.

For around $70 shipped - it's hard to beat. I honestly only bought it because it was a few dollars more than paying for a new air cooler, so I gave it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised. It performed much better than I had expected it to with temps around 30-36c at idle and never over 65c under load. The only complaint that I have is that you have to be really patient with the mounting brackets on AM4 because it uses the plastic ones that come with your motherboard, and if you aren't careful and torque one side more than the other you can break them off. The other complaint I had is that, had I not done a ton of research prior to purchasing, I may not have had the hardware that came with my motherboard to put back on (thankfully i held onto it, but I know many people don't so that's something to think about) The RGB works fine and comes with all the splitters you need to get it all working out of the box... with that said, it's fairly weak - not very bright and I'm not a huge fan of the Cooler Master logo and the lights inside of it seem weak/splotchy.. but it definitely looked better than the stock air cooler I was using. I've since changed cases and my radiator would not fit on the top or front of the new case, so i've gone back to my air cooler but i'll use this in another rig sometime soon. All in all, a very solid performer for the price. Up there with many of the other 240mm AIO's i've used.

I got this for a recent build for a friend. Cooling unit was nicely packaged and included all necessary bits. Quality seems very good on everything, actually impressed me for the price-point. Plenty of options as far as color and such go too, which is nice if you're doing a themed build. You can also adjust how the LED lighting works - whether you want solid, pulsing, bright, dim, etc. I believe the system could also be hooked up to your motherboard if you have a motherboard with BIOS controlled lighting and the corresponding LED pin port. System is nice and quiet and cools nicely - this build it was used with a Ryzen 5 2600. Installation was a snap. You do need to find somewhere to hide all the wiring for the lighting, but most cases these days have good cable management and can be hidden behind the motherboard tray.

I will start off with stating that the first unit I ordered had its pump start to die within 2 days of installing (making a very loud high pitched noise when powered on). I presume that I got a lemon as I picked up another unit and that has been working without issue for weeks. There is a 2-year manufacturers warranty if you buy this product new so there is a blanket in case you get unlucky. As somebody new to liquid cooling who doesn't do any extreme overclocking, I figured this cooler can't be all that bad for $70 USD. And to my pleasant surprise, it certainly seems to do the job. Running several 30-minute stress tests with my slightly overclocked Ryzen 2600x yielded a max temp of 59 Degrees Celsius compared to my stock cooler which was regularly hitting temps of over 70 C. As an added bonus the RGB on this cooler looks beautiful and pairs painlessly with Asus AURA. The fans while not silent are also not noisy, well within an acceptable level. The only real pain about this cooler is the install, the screws are heavily prone to stripping (for me anyway). Also, you need 2 open fan controllers on your MOBO or you may need to pick up another solution to power the fans; this cooler only includes a single 2-way splitter for the 3 fan ports that it uses. Despite these few issues that I had I would certianly recommend picking up this cooler if you are on a budget and want to jump into liquid cooling your CPU.

Just installed this yesterday and it is working great. Install wasn't too bad, there is a lot of wires to connect but that is to be expected. The instructions could be better, for example, the hardware has letters telling you when to use what piece in the instructions. The problem is the hardware itself is not labeled making the letters useless. Still most of it is intuitive. One major thing to note though is that if you are using this for your AMD cpu, you will need the brackets that come pre installed on your motherboard. This kit does not come with extra and that is how this is secured to the board. If you dont have them anymore because you used the stock cooler, you will need to buy some. I would recommend this cooler, though I haven't had it long enough to attest to its durability and reliability, it has lowered my temps and I plan to overclock my r5 2600 with this.

Personal Experience: After my wife made a comment on how loud the OEM CPU fan was for my desktop I decided it was time to get a liquid cooled replacement. I wanted something that would not only be quieter but keep my CPU cooler. Read some reviews and I was between the 120mm and 240mm radiator, I settled on the 240mm radiator because my case had the space and for the price it was a good deal. Install of the cooler is relatively easy if you have experience building computers or swapping out components and your case has room to accommodate the radiator and cooling tubes. My setup uses an AMD chipset but the cooler accommodates both AMD and Intel chipsets; the directions are easy to follow on how to install for either style. Make sure you clear cables out of your way with Zip ties and ensure that everything fits before you bolt/strap it down. If you are upgrading your existing CPU Fan/Cooler I would suggest purchasing good thermal paste remover so you can start with a clean surface. Overall it took me about 45 minutes to remove the old fan, clean off the thermal paste, layout the new Cooler setup then bolt everything down/apply new thermal paste. The lights on the cooler are a nice touch. All in all I was pleased with CPU cooler upgrade from install to performance. Recommend: Yes Pros: Far quieter than the OEM fan that came with the CPU Easy to install in a large case Came with all the mounting equipment you would need Lights are a nice touch to customize your setup Works with both AMD and Intel chip sets (AMD on my setup) Cons: Will not fit in a smaller case (did not affect me but be aware) Installation Suggestions: If you are upgrading get thermal paste remover and be generous when cleaning the CPU Layout everything before you tighten everything down; I had to move the radiator slightly to get everything to fit nicely Read the directions on which way to install the fans the first time (I have installed fans backwards before and it sucks)

I used this with a Ryzen 2600x CPU and added 2 fans to it to make it a push pull, Works amazing compared to the stock AIO cooler in my other ryzen 2700x from Cyberpower, that is only a single radiator push pull.... That one sucks compared to this guy!!!!! Keeps my CPU very cool. I have not had one power failure due to CPU overheating on this system.. But my other 2700x with the single overheats all the time. I actually had to downclock it, I am thinking about getting another one of these for that one as well, but I would have to dismantle a lot of stuff to make it fit as it would only fit my case in the front.... and the lights on it are cool... I did not like the clamps for the motherboard though.... they were rather tricky and flimsy..... just be careful, be calm, and do it when rested on a clear head.... do not attempt to install if frustrated.

This cooler uses two tension levers to attach to the AM4 socket, there are 2 shallow slots with threaded holes on two sides of the water block. The tensions arm pieces get slotted in and then use screws to keep them there. I hooked the tension arms to each bracket on the motherboard and then started to carefully snap the levers into place. It takes a fair amount of force to secure them. This would have probably been the easiest block to put on out of all the AIO coolers I've used. It didn't require me to remove or modify the stock brackets on the motherboard in any way. Unfortunately this turned into a nightmare, as I was applying force to engage and set the tension lever it snapped right off and took a long chunk of plastic with it at which point there was no way I could reattach the tension arm and try again. Cooler master should scrap the RGB and put more resources into making sure the products are built solid. I ended up going to frys many cities away because I couldn't be without my computer for however long a return and exchange or whatever would take so i got a refurbished corsair h100i for cheap and the pump on that one died on me after 24 hours. Now I have two coolers i need to return, what a nightmare. I frantically brainstormed any way i could get this cooler master cooler to mount with only being able to attach brackets to it on one side. I ended up removing the bracket from the other side, taking off the back plate from the motherboard and I stooped to securing the waterblock to the CPU with freaking TIE WRAPS. My upgraded rig is actually running great now, I'm worried about not having the back plate on the mobo for support but I don't want to modify it to work with tie wraps in case I end up with a cooler of decent quality that actually works. In the end I hearken to the old adage "You get what you pay for" Cooler Master, scrap the flashy stuff on budget coolers and ensure the material used to create them are of a high enough grade to withstand basic setup, operation, and function. The setup I have here due to this cheap product is absolutely pathetic. I will likely return this after exchanging the corsair cooler for another one at Frys. For now though my machine is working. I say stay away from this one.

Lo compré sin darme cuenta que no embonaba en mi gabinete y tuve que usar el disipador que viene en el procesador (Ryzen 2600x) pero este hacía demasiado ruido y se calentaba bastante, entonces adapté el gabinete para que entrara y ha sido una maravilla, poco ruido a comparación de antes y se mantiene a muy buena temperatura. Es la primera computadora que armo y no tuve ningún problema para armarlo, las instrucciones son claras.

Keeps my cpu nice and cool. Easy to install. RGB lights are good. I didnt use the controller it came with, instead I plugged it straight into the motherboard so the fans and motherboard sync. Dont notice the fans as they are quiet.

before using this radiator i was using the i71c fan also from coolermaster on my i5 9600k and i got 90-100 C on rainbow six siege after using the radiator i got 70-85 c but no difference in idle temp installation was also a pain as i could only mount it on the front of my case
