Bolt Audio Q Mustang — One Year Later I’ve been wanting to write this review for a long time, and now that it’s been one full year since I bought the Bolt Audio Q Mustang, I think it’s finally time. I purchased these from Amazon for around ₹2,500, and after using them for an entire year—at home, while travelling, at the gym, and basically everywhere—I can finally tell you whether I regret buying them. 📦 First Impressions & Build Quality The first thing that surprised me was the box. It came in such a small package that I literally thought, “Wait… this is a ₹2,500 headphone?” But then I realized the headphones were folded in half and packed inside. Once I took them out, the build actually felt pretty decent for the price. The rotating parts around the earcups felt solid when they were new, and the headband extension mechanism also felt good initially. But I have to be honest—I used these pretty roughly. I wasn't carefully placing them back in a case every time. I kept taking them from the table, throwing them into my bag, travelling with them, taking them to the gym, and using them pretty much everywhere. After around five or six months, I started noticing some wear in the moving parts. Nothing immediately broke(still everything is intact), but they definitely didn't feel as tight and solid as they did when they were new. And then there's the earcup padding. I forgot to clean and sanitize the earcups properly for quite a while, and eventually the leather-like material started peeling. Honestly, this isn't something unique to this headphone. Even much more expensive headphones with synthetic leather padding eventually suffer from peeling. In my case, it became noticeable after roughly nine months. 🎧 Sound Quality Now let's get to the important part—the sound. The Boult Audio Q Mustang has four EQ modes: - Full Bass - Rock - Pop - Vocal The Vocal mode wasn't really my thing. I didn't find it particularly impressive. The other three modes are reasonably well matched to what their names suggest. But my personal favourite is definitely Full Bass mode. If you're a bass lover, you're going to get that BOOM BOOM feeling. Is the bass extremely clean and detailed? No. Sometimes it can feel a little muddy, and I wouldn't call it audiophile-level bass. But it's enjoyable. Because these are over-ear headphones, the earcups completely surround your ears, and when the bass hits, you can actually feel it. And that's probably the biggest reason I enjoyed using them. Interestingly, just last month I opened up the earcup out of curiosity and found a proper 40 mm driver inside. Looking at the driver physically was actually pretty cool—it genuinely looks like a tiny speaker sitting inside the headphone. 📶 Connectivity Connectivity has been pretty trouble-free for me. Bluetooth pairing has been reliable, and I haven't really experienced any major connection issues during the year. There's also an AUX port, which is a nice option to have. And there's a gaming mode as well. The gaming mode does reduce the latency, and for casual gaming I wouldn't say the delay is particularly noticeable. But yes—there is still some latency. That's something you should expect with Bluetooth headphones. No matter what gaming mode a manufacturer provides, Bluetooth isn't going to behave exactly like a wired connection. 🔊 What I Think Could Be Better This is where I have one major request for the Bolt Audio team. Please work on the highs and vocals. The bass is clearly the main focus of these headphones, but sometimes it feels like the lows overpower everything else. In certain songs, especially ones where vocals and high-frequency details are important, I sometimes find myself hearing mostly the bass while the vocals and higher frequencies don't come through as clearly as I'd like. I would personally prefer a little more balance. Give us that satisfying bass, but don't sacrifice the mids and highs to achieve it. ⭐ One Year Later — Do I Regret Buying Them? No. After one full year, I don't regret spending around ₹2,500 on these headphones. They survived travelling, gym sessions, rough handling, daily use, and everything else I threw at them. They're definitely not perfect. The build has shown some wear, the earcup material started peeling, and the sound can get bass-heavy enough to overpower vocals and highs. But for what I paid for them, I still think they were a pretty decent buy. If you're someone who enjoys a lot of bass and wants an affordable over-ear headphone with Bluetooth, AUX, multiple EQ modes, and gaming mode, the Q Mustang is worth considering. And to the Bolt Audio team: keep the bass, but please give us better highs and vocals in the next generation. That's my one-year experience with the Bolt Audio Q Mustang. Four stars only for the fact I'm not satisfied with the mids and highs.

Writing this review after 3 months used. Initially I felt the good comfort usage. I am not using it continuously, just used it for 2 hours per day approx. After these 3 months the power on/off button was little deeper. It doesn't have good spring mechanism. So it got repeatedly power on and off whenever I am pressing it for connection. I felt discomfort on using this product. So I booked a service request to get this headphone repaired. Note - They don't have service centers even in chennai kind of metro city. So They picked my product on Aug 15 through courier service but there was no update even after 2 weeks. I tried reaching their customer service through call and whatsapp (which they mentioned in their official site). Call - the number is switched off. I couldn't reach them at anytime Whatsapp - They are really irresponsible. So I got frustrated again!! Finally I put the strong mail to their official mail. And finally I got the update that it has reached the service center. It has been already 2weeks. Still I have to wait until I get the item back. Not sure how the service would be. I will wait and give the review again back.

Loved it ❤️ the BASS this thing have so good punchy thumping sub bass so good for watching movies and my device (Moto Edge 40 Neo) have spatial audio and dolby sounds great and GREAT sound separation clear treble and mid and instruments and great headphone QUALITY Mustang looks loved it 🐎 and the earcups is so COMFORTABLE featherly great quality earcups will last long and 5.4 BLUETOOTH connects fast and DUAL DEVICE connectivity and headphone have several eq modes like BASS BOOSTED MODE,VOCAL MODE,ROCK MODE,POP MODE and 60 MS LOW LATENCY Good for gaming am also a gamer there is no issue for gaming Its Perfect and charge really fast and am using it for so many hours and still it is 100% CHARGE, NEAT CALL QUALITY at this price range and a pouch case for this headphone neest cloth and quality and AUX cable have enough length and charging cable length is short and overall BEST HEADPHONE AT THIS PRICE RANGE WORTH IT 🙌🔥

Sound quality is good, but in the long run of keeping the headset to head makes pain for ears. Apart from that, in that budget I can suggest it's good choice. The branding of mustang is awesome. Handle with care because it was plastic material not so good. Not suitable for long gamers
