AUTO VOX Wireless Backup Camera Solar Magnetic, 7.2" DVR 1080P Monitor

I purchased this product about a year ago for my RV to use as a rearview mirror. Installation was quick and easy, and the image quality was excellent. I configured the camera to Always On, allowing it to function continuously as a rearview mirror, which was exactly what I needed. I enjoyed using it so much that I couldn't imagine driving my RV safely and comfortably without it. Unfortunately, the camera stopped charging last week. I contacted the customer service team by email to explain the problem and ask about getting a replacement. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations, since many companies tend to assume the problem is due to customer misuse. To my surprise, the support team responded promptly with a few troubleshooting steps and assured me that if they didn't resolve the issue, they would send a replacement camera. After I confirmed that the troubleshooting had not worked and provided my shipping address, they replied again almost immediately—even considering the time zone difference—to let me know that the replacement had already been arranged. Less than three days later, the new camera arrived, and my Auto-Vox system was up and running again. The product itself has been excellent, but what impressed me even more was the outstanding customer service. It's rare to receive support that is this responsive and hassle-free. I have absolutely no regrets about purchasing this product and feel confident that the company stands behind what it sells.

Edit: company reached out and has replaced camera, actually recommended another camer they have and provided it. Customer service was great. Camera works great. I received this a couple months ago and finally was able to use it this week. Was very easy to set up. No difficulty with it connecting and trialed it around home for few days to see how it reconnected, very satisfied on how going a few days with no activity and it still would connect without issues. Solar charge worked well. Headed out at 2am for a 700 mile trip and continued to love the ease of use. THEN less than 100 miles down the road the camera decided it had enough and left the metal rail took a ride down the highway at 60 mph too never be seen again. Cannot give any comments on longevity as the magnetic securement is not secure at all. It seems to be a good system but plan on screwing, permanently attaching it if you want to keep it. Loved the idea of having a camera that could be easily removed for thos times not in use but this does not seem to be the one as it removed itself with easy driving.

Although I just received this camera I have to give it four stars for design, quality construction, great packaging and most importantly- ease of setup! Assembly and startup are very intuitive, which is good because the instructions are a bit lacking. But overall it was fast and easy to get this camera powered up and working. The magnet in the camera is really strong and I am confident it will do the job. I plan to use this on my RV and will probably remove it when traveling. The cords and cables are plenty long enough and seem to be good quality. The picture is awesome and I love the fact that you can record using the included Micro SD chip. I stuck it to the rear of my car and drove around my farm just to see how it performs and I couldn’t be more pleased. I don’t have experience with other brands or models but I can’t imagine there is a better value out there. If you need a rear view camera I can highly recommend this one.

We got this camera with the intent of using it for backing up since our factory camera stopped working. As it turns out after using it on several trips, we use it for general rear view and partial blind spot monitoring! We run it the entire trip ( set it so it does not time out ). It has been a game changer for us! This camera has an incredible view range ( better than the factory one on our Jayco BY FAR). We do not use the SIM card to record; we just use it for visibility support. Very well made. Although Solar power charging is good, for best results and on long journeys, plug it in overnight to USB. It has a powerful magnet, and we adhere it to our rear bumper ( sewer line storage) and for extra security we also added a "strap" support using heavy duty zip ties ( wish I had invented zip ties!). We are really happy and just wish we had done this sooner... better driving experience with it!! We have a Jayco drivable 30'

I think this is maybe my second review of anything anywhere, in the last 10-15 years of buying things online. Used this camera once last fall for maybe 5 minutes, was ok I guess, charged up fine. Never had a backup camera before, drive an old 2000 F150, help hook up the trailer is what I wanted. Tried it again recently, after unused for 8 months, doesn't work at all, and yes its charged, but who knows, maybe not, plugged in to charge for a long time, in the sun to solar charge also, but who knows, won't come on to see what the battery status is. nothing happens at all. A rock in my driveway does the same thing, nothing. I'll go back to the old-fashioned way, not waste another $140. Also, why would you want to record if the purpose is to back up, Saturday night popcorn and backup movies? All these fancy features, like try getting a flashlight that JUST goes on and off, no, 5 different "modes"..... yada yada yada.

Works great!! Easy install, Bluetooth connection is automatic and instant! Extremely strong magnet and a self adhesive plate is included for not metallic tail ends, like my RV!!! Dash mount is very strong !! I would recommend this for an RV OR TRAILER!!

The USB C charging cable that comes with the camera does not work because the end of the cable is too short to plug into the camera correctly. Exchanged the product because after trying two different cables I thought the camera plug was somehow pushed in. When I got the new camera I found the same issue. Then I searched around in my pile of cables and found one cable that had just a little longer plug and in connected properly. Besides that took the camera on a 1200 mile trip and it was awesome. I have it mounted inside my RV looking out the back window so I prefer to charge it with a cable and now I found a different cable it should be fine. Had no idea USB C cables had different plug lengths.

So I bought this backup camera because my truck and my camper do not have backup cameras . I saw all the great reviews on it and I figured give it a try I picked it up on Black Friday for a sweet deal. Call me and pressed. The video quality is crystal clear . You can record if you have a micro SD card which it came with. I really like that you can adjust the time on how long your camera stays on before it shuts off. I got this specifically to backup my camper when I go camping but it's really nice when you don't have somebody there to help you connect to your camper. You line up the camera and tilt the camera down just right you can get connected to your camper on your first attempt. That right there pays for the whole camera setup. But I leave it on the truck when I'm not using the camper and then when I'm ready to back up the camper i just jump out and stick it to the bumper and I've never had any issues it connecting and I have a 29 ft camper. I picked up this part-time delivery job that i drive a box van truck and they're backup camera is all fogged up and you can't make anything out . So I bring it to work when I'm not using my pickup truck and use it everyday for work. For those that are thinking about it I highly recommend it. Plug it in and stick it to the back of your vehicle or camper and it automatically connects. Now this don't turn on when you put it in reverse you have to press the button that plugs into your cigarette lighter. I do like the fact that I can connect another camera and monitor both cameras at once . I'll probably grab another camera soon.

I had previously purchased the AUTO-VOX SOLAR1 Rear View Camera that attaches to the number plate for my van which worked brilliantly and still is working brilliantly. I saw this new camera and noticed that it could be attached to my van magnetically which to me was a huge plus as I could use it as a reversing camera but also whilst parked up camping I could use it on the sides and the front of the van as a security camera to keep an eye on what was going on around me at evening and nighttime once it had gone dark as it has Night Vision. This was particularly useful to me as my van was attacked during a previous wild camp by two men, and this camera gives me the ability to see what is going on outside the van whilst I'm in it and to also record the footage too. The camera was easy to setup after receiving it. I put it on charge with the supplied charging cable, and it took around 5 hours to complete the first charge. Once it is charged there is a solar panel on the camera that keeps it topped up with charge. I then just popped the magnetic camera on the back of the van under the number plate, held the power button in for 5 seconds so that the blue LED was flashing, then plugged the display unit into a 12V power supply, selected Pair on the display menu, and it paired with the camera displaying a high definition view from the rear of the van. Really happy with the quality of the camera and the ability to be able to record footage from the camera. The camera also has an infrared lamp on it which I tested once it had gone dark and was very impressed with as it means I can now see anyone snooping around the van at night when it's dark and I have the blinds and curtains closed in the van. I like the fact that you don't have to do any drilling and running of cables throughout the van with this camera, and that I can remove the camera from the van and store everything in the carry case that came with it. Regarding the warranty, the User Manual says that you do get 12 months warranty from the date of purchase, but that if you contact a service representative at AUTO-VOX that they will give you a further 6 months warranty at no charge. So, 18 months warranty is amazing, and having used AUTO-VOX's customer service a couple of times when I accidently left the cap off the charging port of my SOLAR1 and also broke the 12V charge, I can say that they were top notch and sorted my issues in no time in a friendly and professional manner. If you are looking for a high quality wireless reversing camera then I highly recommend AUTO-VOX and their products. You will not be disappointed.

Ich habe die Kamera Anfang Juni 2026 gekauft und muss sagen, dass ich wirklich top zufrieden bin. Ich habe sie an meinem Fendt 465 Wohnwagen montiert und die Installation war wirklich kinderleicht: einstecken, verbinden und fertig. Für mich ist die Kamera während der Fahrt inzwischen fast wie ein digitaler Rückspiegel. Gerade beim Wohnwagen finde ich es super, jederzeit sehen zu können, was hinter einem passiert. Auf unserer Reise von Westfalen bis nach Kroatien hat das wirklich hervorragend funktioniert. Die Distanzanzeige ist am Anfang etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Da muss man ein bisschen ausprobieren, bis man ein Gefühl dafür bekommt. Danach passt das aber gut. Einen kleinen Kritikpunkt habe ich beim Bildschirm. Der könnte bei hellem Tageslicht für meinen Geschmack etwas heller sein. Man gewöhnt sich aber daran und für mich ist das kein Grund, einen Stern abzuziehen. Auch die Akkuleistung hat für uns völlig ausgereicht. Ich hatte die Kamera auf der Fahrt teilweise dauerhaft laufen. Ein kabelgebundenes System habe ich persönlich überhaupt nicht vermisst. Man kann die Kamera auch so einstellen, dass sie sich nach zwei oder vier Minuten wieder ausschaltet. Dann hält der Akku natürlich entsprechend länger. Ich habe die Kamera damals im Angebot gekauft und würde sie jederzeit wieder kaufen. Ich überlege sogar, mir noch eine zweite Kamera unten am Nummernschild anzubringen. Von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung und 5 von 5 Sternen.

Very easy to setup and run, great image with no lag. The only downside I have found is the obvious risk of leaving the camera unattended on the vehicle, its quite big and can be easily seen which means it could very easily be stolen.

bonjour, acheté en janvier, 1er test aujourd hui le 21 avril 2025, je possède une caravane, donc installation écran sur le tableau de bord, et caméra sur le milieu arriere de ma caravane. Installation très facile déjà le top , éficacité de transmission , qualité de l'image , j ai été bleufé par la qualité de limage , incroyable aucune coupure , rupture de transmission. Au niveau de la batterie caméra , j ai roulé plus de 4 h , j ai eu a peine le besoin de la recharger. Bref en résumé , JE RECOMAMNDE BEAUCOUP CE PRODUIT. Concernant le prix vu la qualité du produit , celui-ci est très correcte. Bravo a AUTO-VOS
