AUTO-VOX 7.2" Solar Wireless Reversing Camera Kit with DVR Loop Recording

I’m really happy with the AUTO‑VOX 7.2" Solar Wireless Reversing Camera with DVR Loop Recording. It was extremely easy to install — the sticky number‑plate mount meant no screws, no drilling, no hassle, which I loved. The camera connected quickly, and the 1080P picture quality is clear and reliable, making reversing and parking much easier. The only downside is that the mount covers a small part of the registration plate. I’m not thrilled about that and I’m hoping it doesn’t cause any issues or fines. Something to be aware of. Aside from that, the camera works brilliantly. The solar charging is convenient, the screen is a good size, and the whole setup feels solid and well‑designed. Overall, a great product — just wish the plate coverage was slightly better thought out.

I needed a reverse camera for our Citroën C3 Aircross. The boot is quite high and it’s hard to judge the distance when getting close to other parked cars or walls. I have purchased other Auto-Vox cameras before and have always been happy with the quality and relative cheap price compared to their competitors. I have the an Auto-Vox solar reverse camera on our Motorhome that we purchased about a year ago and we are pleased with its performance, so when the new Solar 3C model came out we thought we would get one. I purchased from Amazon and it came the next day. It was an absolute breeze to set up. So easy. Plus, what I liked about the 3C is that it’s got a better screen (small and wide) than our previous model. When I tested (always a good idea before full instal) it was paired already. The only thing you have to do is charge the camera in preparation. I put it on charge and went for a short walk with the dog and it was ready to instal. I installed within 30 minutes. If I were to be hyper critical, the camera moves 70 degrees (up or down), but I would have preferred that to be a just little more, other than that it’s absolutely brilliant. The bracket ensures that it does not interfere with my number plate, so it is hardly noticeable. The picture is clean and crisp with 1080p clarity, there is no untidy wires anywhere, it is completely wireless and seamless. With the solar working, I’ll never have to charge it again (like my one on the motorhome).

Naturally, this is a bit less effective in the winter months, but even then it charges quickly when plugged in. It’s worth noting that while it works well as a reversing camera, the lag becomes more noticeable if you try to use it as a constant rear-view mirror, so it’s best suited to occasional use rather than continuous monitoring. Overall, it’s a simple, effective and well thought out system that’s perfect for vans, camper builds, or anyone wanting an easy install without wiring hassle.

I already have the AutoVox wireless wifi reversing camera fitted to my 8 metre motorhome and it has proven to be an excellent bit of kit. Reliable, easy to fit and above all, a real safety feature as my motorhome doesn't have a rearview mirror as it has a solid rear wall. My only wish to improve the camera was for a visor for the camera and the ability to record my journey. When this fantastic wifi camera with a built in recorder was announced I bought it immediately and have just returned from a two week tour around the UK where it performed flawlessly and recorded every mile in amazing clarity. It is fantastic, the large screen acts as a rearview mirror when the permenantly on function is selected and the picture quality is superb by day and night. It was fitted, paired and up and running in two minutes and as the connectors are exactly the same as my existing wifi camera, I used the all ready fitted hard wired connector. Easy to fit, reliable even during a period of intense rain and permenantly on to monitor traffic and if needed, a record of the journey with number plates in detail should any incident happen from the rear. The parking guide lines are an excellent option and they certainly assist reversing into tight spaces. This is a cracking rear view camera and recorder. It is easy to fit, is unobtrusive when mounted on the rear number plate and it provides that necessary security and view of what is behind you on these ever busy roads. I am thoroughly impressed and highly recommend this game changing camera and recorder. If you value the added insurance of a record of any incident then this really is an essential purchase

This camera is very useful,seeing what is behind you,the only downside is,why is there not a slot for a micro card and why doesn’t it record in case something hits you from behind,I do find it very helpful cos I struggle turning my head around to see what is there but that is the only problem with this camera other than that it good

Great product, had this product since October 2025, no wiring to do, was quick and easy to install , was able to centre the camera perfectly dead centre on the back number plate, my previous wired camera, had to be fitted of centre due to the boot latch, which rather defeated the object when trying to park. I have now bought a second camera for the front plate, which I find handy for parking in tight spots. Really happy with my purchase.

This is my second Auto-Vox Camera. I was so pleased with the performance of my first purchase which I currently have installed on my campervan and it has provided great service now for two years. This time I’ve purchased the Auto-Vox 7.2” Solar wireless Reversing Camera with DVR loop recording. Sure enough, within 2 mins the camera was installed to the underside of my number plate. I chose this position to prevent interfering with the number plate lights and boot release latch. The monitor is a good size, not dominating the dashboard. The HD 1080P colour display is excellent, with the option to add an additional camera for a trailer, caravan or forward facing recording. Such a versatile and quality product - I would highly recommend it.

Excellent product well built and does just the job. I needed a solution for towing my Caravan where I wanted to see what’s going on behind me. I mounted the camera high on the roof and it’s perfect. Gives me a fantastic view of the blind spots and even the overtaking vehicles. Installation was a breeze it works out the box. I charged the battery using the usb cable supplied and the battery life was great on a trip to wales 6h!. Great product value for money and does the job.

I did some research and Auto-Vox backup cameras came out on top. The camera was well packaged and every bit as easy to install and get working as described. I wasn't sure if I wanted the 5" camera or the 7" camera and decided the 7" camera was worth the extra cost, which wasn't much. It has the capability to record video which is a plus and lets it also function as a rear dashcam in the 'always on' mode. The picture on the camera is crisp and clear and the color is rich, and the picture is easy to use when backing up. It also has an excellent night-vision picture. I also really like the fact that it is wireless and solar powered. That saved me from a great deal of trouble wiring it up. I know from what my mechanic told me that wiring something in the back of my car, like the collision detection feature of my rear dash cam, would be very labor intensive because of having to completely remove the rear light assembly and work around a lot of obstructions to get something wired up correctly. Being solar powered saved me from all that trouble and time and in only about 5-6 minutes I had the camera and monitor set up and it was working. I've had it about a week so far and have had no trouble with the camera or the monitor. I did an initial charging of the battery and the sun charges the camera battery just like it should so I don't have to worry about battery power for the camera. It connects with the monitor with no trouble at all and there have never been any glitches the monitor picture. There are a lot of other choices in backup cameras but Auto-Vox is one of the best if not the best. I am completely satisfied with my purchase and I highly recommend backup cameras from Auto-Vox. Also, I had a question about something and a customer service rep, Gigi, was extremely helpful. Auto-Vox has great customer service and obviously cares about its customers. Thank you, Auto-Vox!

The Auto Vox Solar Back Up camera is the second I have owned. This one also can be easily installed and doesn’t require any permanent wiring. I simply attached the camera with solar battery recharging unit to my license plate and plugged the monitor into the lighter plug in. Like my first one the image is sharp and reliable. I like that the newer model has a switch on the plug in to turn the camera on if I want to do it manually. Overall the battery life is good. In the winter months I have to self charge it on occasion due to lack of natural sunlight. In the summer it is no problem. I have found the manual helpful and I keep it in my glove compartment for easy access. It is an essential product for those of us with older vehicles without build in units. I have a blind spot backing out of my driveway and this really helps. Overall I think my Auto Vox solar back up camera was a good purchase and I would recommend it.

Leichte Installation. Einfache Koppelung. Zur Sicherheit habe ich die Kamera mit dem Rahmen mit 2 Schrauben und Unterlegscheiben in die Stoßstange geschraubt. Das Display habe ich über den Rückspiegel befestigt (mit Klettband) So wird der Rückspiegel auch seiner Funktion gerecht im Wohnmobil. Die Kamera habe ich für die Fahrt auf Dauer umgestellt. Der kleine Ein-/Ausschalter an der Kamera dürfte etwas kräftiger leuchten. Bei Tageslicht nur schwer zu erkennen, ob die rote Leuchte auch wirklich leuchtet. Ansonsten sind wir für die erste Ausfahrt in den Urlaub sehr zufrieden. Endlich sieht man auch während der Fahrt nach hinten. Bild super scharf. Stand heute, würde ich das Ding wieder kaufen. Der Akku scheint extrem lange zu halten.

Très satisfait de cette caméra de recul : installation rapide sans avoir à tirer de câbles grâce à l’alimentation solaire, un vrai plus ! L’écran de 7,2 pouces est clair et précis, même par mauvais temps ou en faible luminosité. La connexion entre la caméra et le moniteur est stable et l’ensemble inspire confiance. Idéal pour améliorer la sécurité et le confort de conduite. Je recommande sans hésiter !
