Cyclone Release Clip, Fits Dyson DC41 DC43 DC55 DC65 Vacuum

This was a perfect fix for my Dyson. I was worried about exact parts and fitting. It did the job, and I was able to install relatively easily. Amazing!

This is a great replacement for my animal 2 ball. There are two sizes of these switches depending if you have a newer model. I just snapped it right in. This is the 3.5 inch version. There’s another longer one by .4 inch. Be sure to measure your old one. No monkeying around with the other thin straw like piece. Don’t discontinue this supplier. Know what you need when replacing the switch. Now my switch is red on not purple. Thank you supplier!

my vacuum broke I ordered this to replace the broken heart unfortunately, it did not fit so therefore the vacuum is still broken. The package did come quickly, but I had to turn around and return it except the return which was great.

I bought this because my canister release catch broke. If you are looking to replace the button, I would just buy the complete top. It's actually not much more than just these parts. Let me just say that it is extremely difficult to replace the canister release catch. You basically have to take apart the entire canister to replace this one little piece. There are youtube video's that explain this process so that does help. The color on these is definitely off as they are more orange-ish than red. The part did work and solve my problem. It was rather tight at first and it was hard to release the bin. After a few uses, it has loosened up and is working correctly.

Item fit but was cheaply made. It is currently being held with a strap because it doesn't hold.

Worked perfectly and easy to install. Only needed the top half. So relieved.

After spending $30 at vacuum repair shop to install this part which required removing 20 screws, if didn't fit properly and I ended up just giving away my Dyson vs putting more money into it. This part will release the bottom of the bag for emptying but does not snap into the top part of the vacuum. The repair guy showed me the aftermarket part was too big in one area and didn't allow it to snap in. Save you money, I'm out $40.00 and three trips to the repair shop.

I see many complaints about this not fitting old DC41 Cannister for not only this product but with other similar replacement parts on Amazon. I am just writing this to help DC41 users to understand for the latest update. I have recently broken the upper part and ordered this and got them work. 1. This is not the original part and is not the same shape. 2. The difference is the original part has extra material on the upper part, when this replacement part has extra material on the lower part. I think this is where people get confused. 3. You have to replace BOTH parts for the reason to make it work. 4. I really think you should disassemble everything to easily replace those 2 clip features, but I somehow managed by using my fingers to force the features to come out. 5. Taking out the parts is easy, the tricky part will come when you have to insert the lower part with the spring. What I did is just push down the spring by hand and insert it by force. Just be careful not breaking anything. 6. You need to make sure the spring is on the right place to locate the clip features on the right spot and give enough retention. There is a little hole in the spring hole for the this featue to be located. Good luck.
