Spain and France, not UK, also doesn't "adapt" US power
The variations on the European plug can get a little confusing for travelers. Here is the breakdown: We used these plugs for Spain and France. Worked fine. One limitation of these round peg plugs is that they can start to get loose on frequently used plugs (think hotel plugs...). There isn't anything you can do about that though. The UK is different than other European countries and uses large square pegs with a third prong on the bottom just to specify the orientation (kind of like some US plugs have the larger left side . You need different plugs for UK, you can buy these elsewhere on Amazon. The US is obviously unique with the multiple variations of flat prongs (the two sized variety) as well as the extra ground prong (sometimes). There are some clever but larger contraptions where the plug is like a transformer and can create any of several plug types. I've found that the larger size of the transformer still does save space from carrying multiple other plugs, particularly since you need at least three when traveling (laptop, phone and one extra). WHAT THESE PLUGS ARE NOT These are not actually adapters in that there is no change to the electrical power flow. So high power appliances (hair dryer, coffee maker, etc.) will still fail, even with these adapters. What they will do is trip the breaker to your room, it's happened to us on multiple occasions. Don't fret it though because most hotels in Europe find this so common that they have a breaker box in every room (you won't short someone else's hotel room). Ones that will adapt US appliances are more expensive and larger units that act similarly to an adapter you plug into your laptop (only in a wall mounted unit).

Great Value!! Quality as Excellent as Adapters Triple the Price!
These worked fine at an excellent price. I had no problem with these overseas. They are the standard (continental) European adapter for US plugs. [Be sure to check the outlet type for every country you are visiting to be sure, as picking up adapters overseas is going to be either inconvenient or much more costly!] These did not feel/work like the cheap adapters in the market; they were high quality and fit great. I would buy again and highly recommend! I really liked having adapters that I would not worry about leaving behind; these were cheap enough and worked well enough that I would have no problem just buying a set before every trip, instead of maintaining a bin for every region that I have to find and then search through before my trips.

Worked Well in Iceland
I bought these for a trip to Iceland based on information that Iceland may be mostly Type C outlets in your travels. Well, that wasn't completely the case, but these Type C plugs worked well for what ended up being Type F outlets everywhere we were. These adapters worked as well as they should, and I purchased them knowing that they would work with Type F outlets and Type C. The "flaw" with using these adapters isn't with the adapters but just the general observation that Type C plugs are not grounded. It is like the old two pronged plugs we had here in the US (and still have with some items). The only thing you'll want to be careful of is that what you plug into them can still handle the 220 volts that European outlets will throw at your items. Just because your plug fits in the adapter, doesn't mean it will be safe. They are merely adapters not converters. If you keep that in mind, you'll find these plugs are sufficient, and they will likely work in most European countries, minus the UK. I do wish information stating that Type C plugs will work in Type F was out there. Type F will not work in Type C, by the way. At the least keep some of the above information in mind. Given the simplicity of adapters, I don't think you can go too wrong with any brand or any price of adapter. The three pack here worked well and provided me the ability to use a few plugs at once (laptop and phone). However, a 3 pack may be overkill, or you may find better deals for shipping.

I take this with me every time I travel to Europe. Works well. I even lend them to others on my trip.

Great travel item, connects two plugs into 1 adaptor, Solid quality!
I went on a trip to Europe and purchased these to use while there, I was traveling from the USA. They worked great in all 4 countries we visited. The quality is good, and they fit snugly into wall outlets, and the receptacles for your plugs also fit well. (I have used cheaper ones, where plugs just dont stay in, and its very frustrating) A great added advantage is that you can connect two plugs at one time into one adaptor. This was actually useful for places that only had one outlet, so that I could charge both my phone and laptop/camera when I needed to. These are a great travel item, and are small enough to store in a backpack, purse, or messenger bag as well. They are easy to use and the quality seems good. I would recommend them as a great travel item. I rely on reviews to help me make informed buying decisions. I hope this review helped you.

Worked in Thailand!
I went to Thailand in December 2013 and this set worked through Northern, Midwest, and Southern Thailand. Most of the places I visted had outlets that were universal (i.e. I could plug in my laptop charger into any wall outlet in Thailand). Just note that this does not convert the AC/DC flow. That means that if you are using an electronic that does not have that bulky adapter item, then it will get fried. Items that typically do not have convertes are: hair straighteners, blow dryers, small razors, etc. Most items that do have converters are laptop chargers and smart phone chargers (Apple's iPhone has a built in converted - that's the little rectangle USB port plug you use). If you are confused, find the charger for your appliance and if there is some odd box somewhere between the cord and the appliance (might even be in the charging base of the appliance) you can see if it is an AC/DC converter because it will provide a range of energy input and a constant energy output. For example, my Toshiba laptop's charger says it has an input range of 100-240V and a constant output of 19V. Look for this type of small writing on your appliance. If in doubt, you should purchase an additional converter. Please note, this is simply an adapter so that our 2 rectangle-esque prongs fit their rounded prongs. If your appliance does not have an AC/DC converter you need to purchase that separately!

Plug adapters for travel
Just returned from Euro trip. I used the Ceptics plug adapters in Denmark. The plugs worked without a problem. I used those to charge my electronic devices-iPad and iPhone, several digital camera battery chargers, and a hair curler. (Just to be clear, all these devices were dual power-this is a plug adapter, not a converter!) The fit of the plugs to the sockets was secure. No heat, spark or sizzle as reporte on several orher brands. In addition the order arrived very promptly, it was well packaged and clearly marked for the country for which it was intended. This is a well made and reasonably priced product.

Great idea, but mixed build quality
After ordering the Ceptics International Worldwide Travel Plug Adapter 5 Piece Set and being impressed with the build quality, I decided to give this product a try. The external build quality and appearance are great. The adapters have what feels like quality plastic, smooth rounded edges, and a nice quality look to them. Unfortunately, the internal build quality leaves a lot to be desired. As soon as I tried to plug in a US power cord, the internal receptacles all had a very cheap quality to them that made me question if they would continue to work after a few tries. It felt so cheap that I would be left worrying if they were going to break on the next use every time I used them. This was the case for all of the outlets on both adapters, so it wasn't just a defect on one of them. So while I like the concept, the build quality was a big disappointment for me and I decided to return this product for a refund.
