Fresh Step Advanced Heavy Duty Multi Cat Clumping Cat Litter, 17.5 lb.

I’ve tried several different cat litters over the years, and this Fresh Step Heavy Duty Odor Block litter has easily become one of my favorites, especially for a multi-cat household. The odor control is genuinely impressive and does a much better job keeping the litter box area fresh compared to many other brands I’ve used in the past. One thing I noticed right away was how well it clumps, making cleanup much easier and helping prevent waste from breaking apart during scooping. The litter forms strong, solid clumps that are easy to remove without leaving a mess behind or wasting clean litter. I also appreciate that the Febreze freshness scent is noticeable without being overpowering, helping the room smell cleaner without having an artificial or overly strong fragrance. Dust levels have also been fairly low compared to cheaper litters, which helps keep the surrounding area cleaner and reduces irritation when pouring or scooping. Even with multiple cats using the same litter boxes throughout the day, this litter does an excellent job controlling both moisture and ammonia odors for an extended period of time. The texture seems comfortable for the cats as well, since they adjusted to it immediately without any issues. Another thing I like is that the litter lasts a reasonable amount of time before needing a full replacement, making it a good value considering the performance. Overall, this is an excellent clumping litter that combines strong odor control, easy cleanup, and reliable performance, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone with one or multiple cats looking for a dependable litter option.

This litter does a great job controlling odors, even with more than one cat using the litter box. The Febreze scent helps keep the area smelling fresher without being overwhelmingly strong. It clumps quickly and forms firm clumps that are easy to scoop without falling apart. This makes daily cleaning faster and helps the unused litter stay cleaner longer. The heavy-duty formula also handles frequent use well. It absorbs moisture effectively and keeps odors from building up between cleanings, which is especially helpful in smaller spaces. There is still some tracking and dust, as with most clay litters, but the odor control and clumping performance make it worth it. The 17.5-pound package is also manageable to lift and pour. Overall, Fresh Step Heavy Duty Odor Block is a reliable choice for multi-cat households. It keeps the litter box cleaner, controls unpleasant smells, and makes maintenance easier.

With multiple cats, I need a litter that can actually keep up, and this one does a really good job. It clumps well, is easy to scoop, and helps keep odors under control between cleanings. The litter boxes stay fresher, and I don’t feel like I’m constantly fighting that “multiple cats live here” smell. Definitely one I’ll keep buying!

It mostly did block a bit of odor for the most part, smelled real fresh once I poured it in the litter box. Unfortunately, I have a very messy, very smelly cat. Who is extremely prone to very cat-like behaviors of annoyance. Dust? Not too much really. It was pretty clean, not enough to coat the bottom of the pan. The tracking was super bad though. Like, all up in the paws all over my bed (from outside?!) man it was bad. For allergies, it was mild. I have a cat allergy that’s (bad? Yeah, just about there.) not deathly, but my cat is a walking allergen ball because she’s pampered. She doesn’t clean herself too well. May be the litter may not be. It clumped up strong, all around. Overall, it did a strong job of clumping. Especially on my cat’s toe beds. Yes. It’s heavy. But it did last a good while. It did a really good job, but at eliminating odor? Not at all. It was good when it was fresh, but after a couple uses it would just stink all the time. (This was a while ago so now I don’t have photos.)

This litter has a nice fragrance, it's moderately absorbing, and doesn't give off too much dust. My cat does seem to track this around more than his previous brand, but it could be that because it's new to him, he's just playing in it a little more. This might change with time as he gets accustomed to it. The biggest selling point of this litter is the low cost; it's one of the lowest priced of all the major name brands. I find the quality of this litter to be good - not great, but good enough for the purpose. I'm perfectly comfortable giving this product 5 stars out of 5 because it gets the job done, and at a fair price.

My cat is five and I have used many litters over the years, but I always come back to this one! There is no odor in my house and it’s small so if there was odor, it would be everywhere. The clumping is perfect. Doesn’t break down even if I go away for a weekend. I highly recommend this litter

Since my cat decided he wanted to be a diva I had to get this. It works well. No bad smells. It tracks around the house as much as any other litter. But considering my cat stopped peeing everywhere else since getting it I’ll take it as a win. (Have always scooped twice a day with the old litter and this current one)

This is great for your everyday 3 or less cats any more im not sure how it Fairs but I like the smell it has and it lasts between 3 to 4 days easily recommendedto cat owners everywhere .
