I’m not into writing many reviews, but I have to for this toaster. I’ve been toaster shopping for awhile now, looking for one that can actually accommodate artisan bread and more importantly bagels. With my current toaster I had to cut bagels into 3 slices so they would fit. I’ve read countless reviews and was hesitant at first. Let me tell you something: THIS TOASTER IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Bagels, artisan bread, croissants, kolaches… no problem. I don’t know why some reviews state that it does not brown their toast? Set it on 6 and if it’s not dark enough, just push the button again! It’s that easy! We even made quesadillas in it. I did line the slide out tray with some aluminum foil, just to ease clean up. The tray is washable! I’m blown away. When checking out there was a “used, very good condition” for just under$40. When it arrived it was obvious that it was NOT USED. It had the paper liners still attached! What a steal! It is a little longer than my old toaster, but it is also narrower. We got the silver cover with it. If you are considering this toaster, I’m sure you won’t regret it. The versatility it offers is unmatched. Some reviews you have to take with a grain of salt. My thinking was “if I don’t like I’ll just send it back”. No money lost!

This is by far the best toaster I’ve ever had. Super easy to keep clean. Can easily see right in the side of it to keep an eye on your toast. Love the pop off tray. Highly recommend! Cost a little more but worth it.

I like this design, it's so easy to clean. I was so frustrating to try to clean a toaster because you could never get it completely clean by just dumping the crumbs out. This solves that problem. The ONLY problem with it is it IS a burn risk. You have to be careful getting the toast out or you will get burned. The thing that clamps together onto the toast is a bit tight too. And the pull-out tray does get water inside of it when you wash it, so that needs to be revisited. But overall I love how clean and sanitary this is, it's the ONLY one of it's kind I've been able to find.

Rarely do I write a review. It really has to be something special. After living with this toaster for a week I bought a second one on the off chance that when it someday stops working, I will have a backup should it no longer be in production. The unit takes no more room than my former Braun (11 years of use) single slot toaster and is full of marvelous innovation. The bread or oversized scone is placed on a carriage that slides into the unit and when done is so easy to remove. The filaments toast and bake the bread or thick cookie resulting in a crisp, never overcooked outcome. Yes, you may have to put it through twice if you want it really dark brown or burnt but for me, it performs to perfection.

It seems this product takes a long time to toast. I have also had bread stick to the sides of the metal that grips the bread. (Use a tiny bit of olive oil maybe) That said im keeping it because i want to keep the toaster in the cupboard and the side loading/unloading allows for that during use.
