So far so good. Fit 5888uv with 0 issues Hard plastic and metal construction. Some reviews mention a little flimsy and I see how that could be. I used an extension cable for microphone so it's not pulling on head unit. Time will tell with adhesive. Will update if anything changes. will buy again for my next uv8882. (Will need one for ham shack)

I really like the fitment of how it snaps onto the faceplate, and the design is pretty well fit, like it was made for it. The mounting cover for the face plate doesn't leave enough room for the rj45 cable to come out and make a safe bend, so I cut out a slot for the cable to come out more toward the end. If the cable comes out the hole they provide, it has to make a pretty sharp corner to get there, which puts unnecessary sideways leverage on the ethernet connector which isn't the strongest to begin with. Easy mod to make with wire cutters, now it's perfectly designed in my opinion.

it works but you'll need to expand the opening for the cable to go through. Double sided tape would not stick to my area i placed it. Does come with screws which i ended up using to keep it from moving but really didn't want to since my car is only 1 year old.There is another one on amazon for sale not sure how different that one is.

This product fit and everything but I'm not liking the design very well. It is certainly functional and I give it 5 stars for that. Minus 1 star for the design.
