Nutricost Egg Shell Membrane 500mg Per Serving, 120 Capsules, Gluten-Free

Dog has arthritis. Vet put her on a drug that when researched could cause heart problems. Looking for an alternative, came across eggshell membrane. It's a capsule and can be taken apart and added to food. She has never refused it. No more limping. 65 lb dog, 1 capsule a day. Don't spend more, thinking it is better. It's not. The milligram dosage is what to go by. Humans can use it too.

Seem to be working, makes getting out of bed easier in the mornings. Seems to be working on my dog's joints too.

Five Star rating is based on giving benefit of the doubt. Have been taking twice daily for a couple of months which may not be long enough to really judge effectiveness. I take it primarily because of its anti inflammatory properties. I am 75 yrs old and have mild arthritis in my hands/ fingers which makes it difficult to make a fist. I take a number of food type supplements for the anti inflammatory properties so it’s hard to tell for a while if a new add on is doing anything. Glucosamine/Chondroitin (1500/1200) twice daily along with Turmeric(95% cuminoids) twice a day in high dose(as much as you can afford) have produced far and away the most profound results over about a six month period. I went from being able to make a half fist to being able to make a completely closed tight fist. If I become lax in taking these two supplements I start to loose flexibility in my hands within a week or two. My oldest daughter is a veterinarian and has seen noticeable results with the egg shell membrane product in her personal use so I will continue to take it for a while.

We were told by our veterinarian to try Egg Shell Membrane for stiffness in our dog's joints. He suggested that we should be able to reduce or stop the Cosequin which we have been giving to our dogs for years. He told us that he and his wife are taking the Egg Shell Membrane product themselves with very good results for their health also. I am taking it now. It's too soon to know how effective taking the Egg Shell Membrane is.

This is a great supplement for the money. I have bad knees, and was to need knee replacement surgery. I am taking glucosamine and chondriotin but I still had some pain.. I added the eggshell membrane,, and after a few weeks i can honestly say the pain was completely gone. Highly recommend!
