Edit: originally I said the device did not work. Well, I may be wrong. After having it a year and not being at our cabin where these are needed, we have change. After months of the cabin being closed down, we went back to find only one small piece of evidence for mouse activity. There was some toilet paper that had been chewed on—but not like in the past. Previously, the mice chew the tp and carry it off under our dressers while the cabin is not occupied for weeks or months. They will use the paper to make nests. We found no nests. We found very minimal mouse droppings. Again, we left and went back after weeks and this time there was zero mouse activity. Now that could be a fluke except for one important thing—the garage and the boat. We held our breath when pulling the boat out because last year there was a horrible amount of mouse activity. It was disgusting. It was hours of cleaning to be able to use the boat. I didn’t even want to take my shoes off even after it was cleaned. This year there was zero evidence of mouse activity on our boat. None. We’ve always had mice chewing up ropes, making nests and even chewed a rectangular shape in our bimini top in past years. This year was incredible. The only change for any of this was the Riddex Repellers. We have them in the cabin and in the garage. I am hopeful we will continue to be able to visit the cabin without mice. I will keep this post updated. Original post: Completely plugged in for a month. I watched a mouse touring the kitchen right beside the device. This is at our cabin and it is not working. Bummer.

FINAL REPORT: THIS DOES NOT REPEL ROACHES! WASTE OF MONEY & MY TIME. The building I live in has a huge roach problem. Plugged it in as soon as I received it and waited, and waited, watched roaches walk bye devise on wall, and waited. Devise has now been plugged in for 3 weeks and I have killed with Raid or a shoe about 100 roaches. I have moved devise from kitchen to dining room. Yes there seem to be less roaches that I see, but is it really working? There are other reviews from people who have used this devise for years with mouse problems and are satisfied. The jury is still out with roaches. I don't think it works fast enough, but I'll keep it plugged in.

It probably works. In any case, I noticed activity from huge but harmless bugs I hadn't even suspected, and the activity of mice coming from neighboring apartments decreased. I saw them less often, and traces of their activity almost completely disappeared. However, the device can affect small children. I noticed frequent, unprovoked tantrums in my little child and more frequent headaches in my mother. I didn't tell her about using the device. I removed the device, and they stopped. I started using the device only when no one was home. One time, I forgot to unplug the device, and a terrible tantrum ensued that same evening while it was still plugged in. I didn't notice any effects on myself, but I recommend using it with caution.

I gave five stars because my dad‘s widow says that she has these and they were great. I bought them for my storage area and I have a 1200 watt bluetti But I guess this item does not draw enough power from my backup battery so it only runs for about three or four hours before the battery shuts itself off because it doesn’t perceive that it’s being used if anybody out there has a recommendation on how I can keep the thing running I would appreciate it

Pros: I've used these for years and they really do work. Cons: They are too pricey. Many other options for far less money now. AND I wish, they would remove the flashing red light, or seriously dim it. It's nice to know it's working but I'd rather it work discretely.

As far as I am concerned these work! We have not had a problem since using Roddex . We have a set that is very old and decided we need to refresh!

We've been using Riddex since it was first introduced. Tried others. They just don't compare.

Not superb but it seems to do something, as the fruit flies have reduced but not all, and not effective for normal fly.

I am not impressed with this product, no fault to Amazon! I have these scattered throughout my home and have not gotten rid of the mice! My dog chases them til they drop
