I bought this helmet after I suffered a punctured eardrum on a j9bsite. I do land clearing for a living and operated a Cat 289D tracked machine. Just a random stick flew into my ear... first time in 12 years... So I wanted to get ear protection, then figured I might as well get a helmetnwith eye protection as well. This helmet fit the bill perfectly. After using it on six jobs I am comfortable saying it was money well spent! The dark visor is perfect for when I am operating the machine and can easily be flipped up as needed. I keep the clear lenses in up position except for when I am sharpening the machine's teeth. The ear protection is comfortable and the music sounds good. A great feature is the mic. My machine has a built in speaker/mic but my wife can never hear me while operating the machine. However, when I use the mic she says it is very clear sounding, even while machine is in full mulching mode! That was a huge bonus! The air venting seems to work fine. I live in Florida and while it is not summer yet, it is still hot. I have yet to sweat in it, the vents seems to work well. IMPORTANT NOTE: When I got the helmet, the first few jobs the speakers turned off at around 5 hours. I emailed customer service and they had a new headset to me in a few days, awesome! However, same thing around 5 hours they turn off. I assumed it was a bad battery, and then with second set I just assumed it was misleading note when then listingnsays the battery last all day.... That is true, I realized the earphones turn off at 5 hours automatically. If you turn them back on they immediately connect and work for the rest of the day with no issue. So if you buy these, just note there is an auto-off feature that I never saw referenced nor does customer service know about it. But I give kudos to the company and customer service for immediately sending a new headset! I highly recommend this helmet. I don't use the light on it since I don't work at night. There is enough headroom in my machine as seen in pictures, but keep in mind the light mount does stick up a bit.

The equipment is perfect, excellent and extraordinary material.

I use this helmet in the oil field around loud noises and equipment. Usually use only when I need to communicate. Then I switch back to my regular hardhat. The helmet would be too hot to wear for a continuous 12 hours. But for short durations and specific tasks where I’m on the phone with HQ, it works great, are noise cancelling, and provide adequate protection.

Head lamp head phones and strap broke within 3 weeks and I can't return it. Company got back to me so I give the extra star till I get a new one. Customer service hooked me up with a new one so over all I love it

Comfortable fit, headphone sound is amazing and the noice canceling adjustment knob is impressive. You can tune out all outside noice or adjust to have a conversation with person next to you with headphones still on. Visors are really convenient sliding up and down. Headlamp is really bright and with good battery life. Love this helmet

This helmet was very nice. The Bluetooth muffs worked extremely well. I liked the sound quality and noise reduction. It came with two visors, one clear and one tented. This was a big plus. The deal breaker was that the muffs would not retract (swing out) from my ears. Every time I tried they popped off the helmet. The would rotate to the back of the helmet for storage, but it was very difficult to do since the muffs would not swing out. Most of the time when I tried to do that, they would detach from the helmet. I had to return it. I really wanted to keep it since it worked so well otherwise. I was disappointed with that one issue which caused my decision to return it.

Some people believe it’s overkill. Why are you wearing that thing with so much stuff on it. You look like a fighter pilot. I could jackhammer a floor out and have a conversation on the phone in the middle of the night with this thing. The one thing I wish it would do is connect to our radios also. If they could have it so we have our phones and radios connected at the same time that would be better.
