Let me start to say that if you never flown a drone it can be tricky. This Holy Stone HS 700 has some fantastic features that I did not know I needed until I started flying it. There is a one button takeoff. This starts the drone up and brings it to a hoover in about 8 to 9 feet. This is great because as a beginner one has a tendency to use the controls in the wrong way and it is easier to get started with maneuvers when the drone is in the air. I used the regular controlled flight and when I flew it a bit far out I uses the headless mode to bring it back. This is very important for an inexperienced pilot since you can forget where the drone is pointing which can make the way back very difficult. What I really liked was the automatic landing. one push button bring the drone to the exact spot (within a foot or so) where you started. on my second try I had encountered some strong sidewinds and the drone started to drift towards a row of large trees. I was not sure ho to maneuver it quickly out of harms way. The automatic landing button brought it up a bit, made it hoover over my landing site and brought it down slowly and smooth. For a monitor I used my old cell phone which I still had laying around. In my case I used a Samsung note 3 which handles the drone app with ease. That phone did not even needed a sim card since the connection to the drone goes over wifi. Just sink to the drone and you see everything the camera sees on the screen. Good video quality. On a calm windless day I can probably get some really nice smooth video footage going. I can only recommend this drone. If you are a beginner and want to get your feet wet in something like real estate photography this is the ideal drone to do that. The price is quite affordable and the features are quite comparable of much more expensive drones. The battery lasts a good while so you can get a nice 10 minute aerial video on one charge. I also like that they gave you a camera that already comes with a micro SD card. The only thing you need is a card reader to pull the footage in your computer. However, according to the handbook without using the card you can apparently record directly to your phone. Don't get a toy drone! Get this one since it can do what much more expensive drones can do. I am truly impressed. I thought I have to shell out over 1000 $ for a phantom or something like that to take some decent aerial snapshots. This does it well. And if you prefer your Gopro, have at it. You can mount even your Gopro instead of the camera that comes with it.

Many, many, many moons ago I should've bought this drone lol. This drone is my first and it is amazingly good! I tested it in my mom back yard. The camera feed is good quality, but it felt kind of weird looking at myself from above lol. The drone only came with one battery, but for the price, I think that's understandable. This drone is a win, because it flies smooth, it's a nice size and it's just overall fun with great controls. I'm glad i bought it and I would definitely buy another drone from Holy Stone. If you been thinking about getting the Holy Stone Hs360s, GET IT!!! Why be on the fence when you could be flying? Watch a few tutorial video and read the manual. As the headline states, this is my first drone. I watched the tutorial, which was pretty good and covered all of the functions and controls of the drone. I did miss the part about when you turn the controller on, you have to short press the ON button and then press for 2-3 seconds. I went to the Holy Stone website and used their chat function to figure this out. The response was quick and spot on. Now I'm up and flying. My first flight went well right before my first crash. At the end of my first flight, the drone was about 10ft off the ground and it started toilet-bowling really bad. As the circling got wider, the drone got lower. It finally was drawn to the rose bush and the rose bush won. The damage was minor and was able to fly again. The drone was set to NORMAL speed. After that, I selected the CAMERA speed for a lower speed. The second crash occur right after the lift off. It drifted backwards quickly and flew into a piece of welded mesh. This caused some chipping on one of the blades. Fortunately, this kit comes with extra blades. The fix was quick and easy. To avoid or to at least minimize crashes, I practiced take offs and landings to get the controls down. The drone lands very well. In summary, the first day was several short flights with limited height and distance (the beginner mode was set) with about three crashes. The second day, I switched the beginner mode off and removed all the limits. I took it up to about 400ft and flew longer distances with out any issues. At the end of a 17.7min flight, the drone started toilet-bowling again at about 10ft. This time, I put in a constant forward control and it stopped. I was able to maneuver the drone over to the landing area and landed successfully. After the drone battery charges for 3hrs...yes, 3hrs of charging for an 18 minute flight, I'm going to try some of the features. They look like good features when I watch the review videos on YouTube and the tutorial. The controller has to charge too, but it doesn't take that long to charge. All of this information is in the owner's manual. Overall: I'm satisfied so far. Battery life and the toilet-bowling is the reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 stars.

First off, I am a newbie to the drone community. This is the first drone that I have purchased. Out the gate upon opening the package the quality in which it is enclosed is amazing! This HOLY STONE HS360s has a 4k camera on it for good videos and photos. The carrying case the drone is very well made. You get the drone, the cables needed to connect to your phone because this is a gps drone, and that makes a better connection by using the signal through your phone. It comes with charging cable, propellers and only one battery. I wish it was at least 2 or more. You also has a slot in which you insert a micro SD card to store your videos in 4k resolution. My first flight was nervous yet amazing. Once you become familiar with flying the drone and become accustom to the functions it is very fun and not so hard to operate. You just have to make sure you understand there are rules and regulations to flying drones. Look into learning that part of it as well . Operating the Holy Stone HS360S is amazing especially because this is the first drone I have ever flown. You can't go wrong with this is one! And there are many more features and flight capabilities that this drone has. Upon flying and operating this, I believe the Holy Stone HS360S GPS Drone is the best beginner drone to get your hands on! BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY THAT, YOU WILL WITHOUT ANY DOUBT ENJOY THIS DRONE!

I bought the HS360s as a toy for me to play around with drones. I was very surprised how good it was for the price! It has great range, a decent camera and is just overall great fun and a great way to get into drones, which turns out to be a surpisingly addictive topic, so be aware! I want to make clear that this drone is not a top shelf professional video platform. Many people seem to complain about the camera not having a stabilized 3 axis gimbal, so the video feed is quite janky when flying around. But that's just how it is when not having a gimbal. I consider this a really high quality and very fun 'adult toy'. Not a professional video production platform, as some people seem to falsely expect. The controller is really high quality, too. The video stream works fine up to the couple of hundred meters that I tested. The GPS works fine. It's just overall great fun. I bet you could find other generic chinese drones for a similar price, but here I want to point out and congratulate Holystone for their branding and customer support, which other generic drones will definitly NOT have. They have a Facebook group for customers where we happiy share our little "look! I have a drone now! This is fun!" photos and videos, and Holystone participates a lot in that group (in perfect english, I'd like to add!) and are very helpful if someone has problems. Their email support is also good and responsive. This is what a 'budget' brand should do, I think. It's a very decent product with support. I do have to say that I crashed my poor drone into a worst case scenario into iron-containing beach sand. This sand enters the motors and clings strongly to the magnets inside. This will absolutely happen to any and all brushless motor drones, no matter if they cost hundreds or thousands of dollars, so this is by no means a fault on this drone's part. What I really liked, though, is that I (!) messed up when cleaning my motors and caused a short circuit in one motor, burning the ESC. (I repeat: my fault!) What is awesome is that Holystone hooked me up with a cheap replacement part in order to fix it that they are shipping to me now. They even have repair instructions on their Youtube channel! I really love that. The drone does have some small quirks, but nothing that would impede having a lot of fun with them and learning about drones. I only have two complaints: a) it should be easier to disassemble the arms and motors if magnetic sand comes into them (really niche case, though) b) the battery charges realy slowly, for some reason. It charges at about 5 Watts. It would be awesome if the battery would support USB-PD and charge quicker. In summary: if you're on a budget, and want a really neat "toy| to dabble around with drones for the first time, I highly, highly recommend this little drone. If you have more money to burn, there are obviously better drones (the sky's the limit!). But for this price, I haven't found anything better, and am really happy with it, and am now officially hooked. [full disclosure: Holystone asked me to post a review here. ***Update*** While I enjoyed it for the first week or so I noticed it was starting to have movement while hovering, like a toilet bowl effect. I effectively landed it and recalibrated the compass thinking that may have been the issue. I have flown several other flights and it continues to hover inconsistently and have the same toilet bowl effect. I even changed out the props to new ones and it continues to do it, I have flown it several times since and it continues to be an issue. The most frustrating thing is I have yet to crash the drone until it started flying incorrectly. This renders flying this drone as next too useless. I will save my money and buy from another company such as dji. If the drone continued to fly as it did initially I would still be happy with it, but now it is almost not worth even flying it as I crashed it last time into a tree due to the random jerky toilet bowl flight pattern. Wish It still performed like when initially bought little more than a week ago! —-initial review—— I have been interested in drones for a while, looking to get into taking real estate pictures and making some money from drones. That being said, I did not want to buy an expensive drone for my first and end up crashing it. I wanted to buy a decent drone that could make me familiar with flying using video function and not be terrified of wrecking it. This drone so far has filled all of my expectations and exceeded some. I have crashed the drone four or five times already and aside from, changing some of the propellers out that were provided with for the purchase it has stayed strong with no issues. It is a fun hobby for me so far and enjoy flying it every time. The camera quality is acceptable, the controller is well thought out and comfortable, and the carrying case is a pleasant addition that I love is included. The only negatives or issues that I have had were initial connectivity issues to the camera, which could’ve been user error. This was solved by turning my Wi-Fi off on my phone. The other issue, which is more of a gripe than an issue is it only comes with one battery. The battery takes hours to charge so realistically during a day, I can only fly this two or maybe three times for 15 to 20 minute sessions. My last gripe is the camera, it can be a little disorienting since it moves with the drone and if you are maneuvering quickly or it is a little windy it can be a little difficult to view, but it is fair for the price point of the drone and I knew this when purchasing it. In conclusion, this drone is a great starter drone and checks all my boxes for starting out flying I find myself getting excited to take it out every time.

I am a beginner with drones (I mainly fly RC aircraft), but I find this drone amazing. It takes about 1 minute to set up (insert the battery, connect the phone, and sync the GPS), with the GPS sync taking about half that time. From then on, it’s pure fun and enjoyment! The drone is very smooth to fly and is very stable. Fly it to a spot, hover, and it will stay there, even in a fair amount of breeze. I also like the fact that it has an adjustable ‘Fence’ that you can set. For example, if you are teaching someone to fly, you can limit the drone to 100’ from the remote, and the drone will stay in that zone. I also appreciate that it comes back to the landing zone when the battery is low, if communication is lost, or upon the press of a button. I have not yet been able to use its 10,000 feet range (that’s almost 2 miles) to keep it in my sight, but it has always maintained a very solid connection to the remote for control and for the video. I’ve read many things about the camera; however, I find that it takes beautiful pictures and great video. Yes, it’s not the high-quality video that you can use for promotional ads, but this is not a $10,000 drone. When you combine all the other features that come with the HS360S, this drone is a great value, and I would highly recommend it to anyone that loves to fly.

This is a 1080p GPS camera drone that is priced at 284.99 (as of 6/11/19) I personally purchased it from Amazon (Link below) which included a coupon for $20 off the price of the drone. I’ve now had the drone since Easter of 2019 so I have had it for a fair share of time. For starters, The drone lacks a gimbal & digital stabilization so the video will not be steady even when not moving the drone & if you would like to move the cameras position ,which only moves up and down, This is a GPS drone & it will stay somewhat steady. It will stay within about five feet of its original position if you set down the controller. It does not fare well with wind at all, even a light breeze will cause the drone to move around a ton and render the GPS hold useless. This is a wifi drone so the video feed cuts out pretty easily while still maintaining control of the drone. The Camera shoots pictures and videos in 1080p and are saved to an SD card (Included with drone) inside the camera. The camera is detachable but cannot be used with anything other than the drone, The camera is also interchangeable, fitting the gopro hero 2, 3, or 4. One thing that did occur twice was my drone randomly would jerk itself and fly in a direction by itself which caused it to crash into my house twice along with a tree, which leads me to my next point. While this drone is lacking, It is extremely durable. It has crashed three times due to itself & twice due to user error & doesn’t show any signs of giving up, the propellers took a little damage but the drone thankfully come with a complete extra set. The controls are very responsive & the drone is in no way at all hard to fly. It has made me extremely confident on moving on to one of the many $1000+ Drones available. I would 110% recommend this drone to anybody wishing to get into the world of drones without wanting to risk destroying a $1000 investment, wether it’d be recreationally or commercially. Also, Regarding the App , Ophelia GPS. When I purchased the drone it had plenty of negative reviews. Personally I had no problem at all. You connect your phone or tablet to the drone through its wifi then go on the app & select which drone your on then you’re good to go.
