These things pack a punch ! What a great broad head ! I put down a 10pt buck this year and dropped him 15 yards from the stand . Me maybe made it 10’ and then dropped . Even the practice tips the make blow right through the target . I won’t shoot anything else but the g5 !!

The first Montecs I purchased were not very sharp out of the package so I purchased these Montec CS. These things are super sharp and crazy durable. My 14yr old took his first buck with these on a quartering away shot. This broadhead went in behind the last rib, through the guts, lungs and exited opposite side straight through the scapula bone. At only 220 fps, it takes a sharp tool to do that. Deer made it 50yds. If your looking for penetration at slower velocity, this broadhead will get the job done..

These things are awesome. I got the practice heads and there is a little tweaking but not much and the sharp heads fly true. So I go out for my 3rd hunt ever and 20 feet into the woods I hear crashing. A doe pops out followed by 3 bucks. One stopped 20 yards in front of me and I had about a foot of clerence to shoot through. Not only did I hit him but he was quartering too and it busted through one rib going in and clean through one going out. That deer went only 50 yards! The head is still very sharp but I touched it up with a waterstone. Very good heads and I will continue to use them.Update! One year later. I used the same head to kill a deer in the 2016 2017 season. It passed strait through and hit the dirt. I touched it up on the water stone when i got home and it is ready to fly again this season.

Razer sharp. I shoot 53lbs, 400 spine. Because I have lower poundage I've been searching for a good fixed blade. Shot my target buck this weekend at 32 yards and got a double lung pass through with devastating damage. These broadheads fly straight and will turn your arrow into a lethal little needle

These work fairly well and hold up well can be sharpened to your desire as well a bit pricy but what isn’t these days I the sticker that came with it is stupid and fell apart trying to put it on but no big deal it’s only a sticker that says g 5

Wow why do we mess with 100gr. Knowing 125gr will give us better penetration I finally switched. I took a 8pt buck on Sept 29th quartering away slightly. Took the shot and I thought I missed as I saw my arrow sticking in the ground. It actually blew right through his chest and out his breast plate! Never had a arrow pass through like that. Ran about 40 yards and watched it drop. No tracking needed. So if your thinking them... your thinking correct.

I screwed these Montec CS broadheads into Gold Tip Laser III pro bolts (old bolts) . First shot hit upper corner of 1" square I had drawn on target. I pulled the bolt out of target and then shot the second bolt . Glad I removed first bolt , that second bolt was in the same hole. 3 bolt shot , hit the 1" square (mentioned above) just about in the center . I love that these can be sharpened with a stone. I'll purchase another 3 pack for my remaining bolts.*I'm shooting an old Horton Vision 175 , Laser III pro bolts , montec cs broadhead 100gr *

I have shot a lot of different broadheads over the years and for steep angles from elevation mechanical heads have frequently had issues with penetration when contacting bone. You can see from the picture that G5 Montecs don't have a problem blowing right through ribs or any other bone they contact. They hit like a hammer and I can count on a pass through regardless of the shot angle. Great product.

I want cut on contact broadheads. I do not trust any mechanical broadhead. I also do not like razor broadheads that come in pieces which need to be assembled. Simplicity is the key. This fits the bill. Good looking broadhead. Flies like a field point. You owe it to your prey and to yourself to reduce the number of items that can go wrong.

Great broadhead super sharp , holds and edge well even when going through bone . Smaller cutting diameter but still results in high flow blood trail
