Sour caramel
The quality, as with all of the 1883 syrups, is very high, so my rating is purely down to my own subjective taste regarding the flavour of the salted caramel syrup, and the standard caramel flavour, too, as I have tried both. Something about them is really off, and to me, they don't taste like caramel, they taste more like caramel apple, and all I can think is that it's because of the high amount of citric acid put into these two flavours, the sourness of the acid mixed with the sweet caramel, it just doesn't mix well with coffee, in my opinion. Usually, 1883 is my preference for coffee syrup, but as far as caramel and salted caramel goes, I have to give it to monin for the best flavour!

Sweet enough to taste, not enough to bury the coffee
Bought this to replace a syrup I was using before from a well known brand and it's a big step up. Tastes brilliant and not too sweet perfect to add into my coffee without overpowering the flavour profile of the beans. Most caramel syrups turn a latte into a dessert but this one sits alongside the coffee instead of burying it. I use one pump in a 250ml latte and can still taste the beans underneath. The salted bit is actually there rather than just being caramel with a hint of salt. No artificial aftertaste either and it doesn't crystallise around the neck of the bottle like the cheaper ones do. The 1L bottle works out much cheaper per cup than café syrups and lasts me around two months. No pump included which is worth knowing before you order. If you drink your coffee for the coffee rather than for the sugar this is the one to get.

Zu wenig ergiebig
Sehr flüssig und um beispielsweise im Kaffee auch nur einen Hauch von Geschmack zu erzeugen, wird eine zu große Menge benötigt. Da gibt es besseres für weniger Geld.
