Dust Bin Replacement for Dyson V6 DC58 DC59 DC74 Vacuum Cleaner

Our Dyson DC58 has officially entered its mythic era. At this point, the only original piece left is the main body — everything else has been swapped out over the years with perfectly proper replacement parts from Amazon, like some kind of heroic, ever‑renewing vacuum warrior. We bought it back in 2014, and I’ve kept it running out of equal parts pride and curiosity. This time, the dust bin sacrificed itself after a dramatic, slow‑motion fall to the floor that cracked the bottom latch. The replacement bin clicked into place flawlessly, no fuss, no weird fit issues, no “this feels off” moments. Just a clean, satisfying snap and my decade‑old vacuum was back in action like nothing happened. Bought as a replacement after my original one broke. It fit perfect. No issues. It actually empties easier than the original. It was a good price.

I bought this replacement dust bin for my Dyson DC59 Motorhead, and it does not fit properly. The bin doesn’t click securely into place, and sometimes the entire bin comes off during use. Even when it stays attached, the bottom flap often pops open on its own, causing dust to spill out. The vacuum also keeps pulsing as if there’s a clog, even though there isn’t one. It seems like the connection between the bin and the main body or floor attachment isn’t sealing correctly. Very disappointing.

Good product

Our original Dyson dust bin broke on the button that opens the dust bin door. This was a great replacement and fit perfectly. It did break again in the same spot after a few months but it’s so cheap & effective that I’ve bought it again. It is a design flaw for this model of Dyson in my opinion.

So happy with the quality and extremely easy to install. Well worth the cost. Saved me from having to by a new vacuum.
