Review: what a drummer ! - I first heard Sam Lay on The Paul Butterfield blues band first album and I love his drums and vocal on " I got my mojo working" - so I buy this album and it blow me away - this is a real blues drummer at his best and I think this is the best Sam Lay album you can find - so just buy it ! Review: I was pleasantly surprised after purchasing, and listening to, a cd of a guy I had never heard of (Sam Lay). The more I search the internet for blues bands, specifically, blues guitarist, the more great blues bands I find that I had previously never heard about--this is one of those cds. For every one I find that I like, I get introduced to five more. I guess that's how a blues cd library gets started. Even though Sam Lay is not a guitarist (he is a drummer), and after listening to this cd, I would recommend stuff by his band.
