Magnets are very strong, it does exactly what it says it does. It even holds my single stack glock magaiznes (not tight, but it holds them for organizational purposes and does what I need it to) But as far as the double stack mags (which is what this product is intended for) it holds them perfectly.

Holds Glock 17 & 19 mags perfectly. Also holds Sig Sauer P320 mags, and Ruger Security 9 mags but not as snug. All look good. (I imagine this will hold a wide variety of dbl stack pistol magazines) I bought two to mount inside my gun safe on the door. The interior of my safe door is carpeted and the magnets still hold well. Magnets are strong and imbedded in a strip of sticky rubber. Holds 6 empty mags easy. 6 loaded mags on my carpeted door tends to slide down. When mounted directly to steel, these will hold 6 loaded 30 rnd Glock mags. (9 lbs) Great product.
