My tips never mushroom and it’s cuz I use this tool along with a Kamui leather tip burnisher.

Awesome for getting rid of a mushroomed cue tip without cutting off any of it.

Burnisher, all plastic inside.
This burnisher is all plastic and does nothing for the tip. Heat is discribed as shaping the tip. No amount of hand speed can do so. Got dupped.

Does the job....
Does the job on standard size cues (12-14mm tip diameter). Not so good on smaller diameter snooker cues.

Pool player's must have.
I like soft/med tips for better cue ball control. Problem is they tend to "mushroom" easily. This tool quickly corrects this problem without trimming or sanding. I also re-tip with over sized tips then trim to fit exactly. This tool puts that factory edge burnish back on that new tip.
