Good for General Computer Sound.
Purchased to replace an old Cambridge Soundworks set of speaker that were dying. They are good, bass is good, and they are very clear, and perfectly adequate for gaming and watching youtube videos. Not so sure on music, not a patch on a set of Sony HN1000MX5's, this might be down to frequency response. Why do all PC speakers stop at 20KHZ, when Creatives own soundcards (I'm using a Soundblaster Z) are way more capable than this. Come on Creative, I don't mind paying slightly more if you can match a set of speakers to the capabilities of your soundcards.

Pebbles overview
Awesome speakers, super bass, proper thump and chesty. Will fill the room with sound. Each speaker is slightly bigger than the average first. The LED lights are cool. Can be changed with software. The software was a bit difficult to get working but must be plugged in with USB C to computer to control lighting. It can be connected to extra USB C for more power too which done make a big difference. Bluetooth, aux and USB C all easy to connect and use. Build quality is great the rubber bottom to the table top speakers are grippier than expected. Over all a fantastic product for the cost.

Superb sound quality, worthy of a much more expensive setup
The Pebble X Plus has incredible sound quality! Extremely happy with these. I used to have a Creative 5.1 system decades ago and it lasted for many years with superb quality, but was 3x the price (which was a lot back then). For music in my small office room, I haven't had to make any adjustments out of the box and the volume can cap out very loud when plugged into the computer for power. When playing games, they need to have "Virtual Surround" enhancement enabled in Windows ideally, otherwise it can sound a bit 'flat' as it's all coming from the front of my ears. I am biased on this, though, as I'm used to my Sennheiser Game One headset which is incredible for gaming with full directional sound. The only negative is that when installing the Creative 'app' and opening it, I was expecting to see some equaliser options but there is literally nothing. It's just changing the colours of the RGB or installing a new firmware (which I didn't bother doing because I've read about others bricking the speakers by doing so). Ultimately, these are fantastic out of the box. No need to do anything with them, just plug and play. Superb music quality and a punchy bass from the small sub on the desk behind my monitor. Strongly recommended, especially a steal for the price point!

Really good though some minor improvements could be made
Great speakers. I bought them for my home office which is a very small room so I didn't need anything too big & powerful. They are certainly a huge step up from my PC speakers or phone which I'd been using previously, and I really love the bass. A few things to be aware of: if you are powering other things from the same socket / extension cable, this might cause issues with the speakers. Running my PC, monitors & a PC peripherals dock plus these speakers is fine - if I add my phone on fast charging, though, I get intermittent interruptions to the speakers. Not a huge deal if you can charge your phone at another socket! The bluetooth setting announces "ready to pair" etc. *every time* you switch to bluetooth or turn the speaker on, and if you disconnect. This is really quite annoying but minor in the scheme of things. Overall a great set of speakers, I'm very happy with them.

Makes my computer sound like a cinema, fantastic

Excellent speakers
Nice speakers, look good and sound great. I had been using a pair of studio monitors which may be better for music but my main use is gaming (flight sims and space games) and these are definitely more immersive with these speakers. The leds are a bit underwhelming and I have turned them off. Overall though these are excellent speakers for the price.

Creative, my goto for 35 years, for gaming, ill not change.
Absolutely fantastic, nephew got a gaming pc, i grew up as pcs were introduced, i built them, fave card for ganing was the old awe64, so of course I went to creative; wouldnt have gone anywhere else. Now, 35 years since that awe64, this Pebble X Plus 2.1 sounded awesome, first track he played was Notorius, him, his Dad and myself were all very happy with the sound. Its rare to see that satisfied smile on my brithers face, but he was very happy for his son. He loved the led additions and lights, but the sound and functionality is where its at, whether his pc, console or bluetooth from his phone, he has speakers that will last.

Style over sound
These are designed to be looked at rather than heard. With a sufficient powerful power supply - one's not included, just a USB C cable?! - the sound is OK if you're playing dance music. It's not bad if you're playing something less bassy (that is an improvement on some Creative headphones!) but it's nowhere near what you could get by paying less for some bookcase Bluetooth speakers or some old passive speakers plus a Bluetooth amp. Not that these are designed to be put on a bookcase: the angle of the two side speakers is very definitely pointed upwards. These are wanting to be on the floor if you're sitting down a couple of metres away, or perhaps towards the back of a desk at the level of the keyboard. The amplifier in these is in the right hand one of the pair. This is combined with having a fairly short and very definitely fixed cable to the left hand one - forget having them more than a metre apart - and an equally fixed but slightly longer one to the sub-woofer. "My sub-woofer goes up to three..." The sub-woofer has three speakers: one fairly small powered one facing forwards and two smaller passive ones to the sides. One of the first things you learn when doing sound in school physics is that humans are not good at telling which direction low frequency sound is coming from. Having three speakers (OK, one plus two echos) pointing in different directions for the low notes is just silly and having them be small ones limits just what they can do on those low notes... but hey, it looks neat, doesn't it? Also in the 'there to be looked at, not listened to' category are the lights on the main two. These have a number of patterns you can cycle through, but the one that's supposed to be the equivalent of a sound meter is terrible. Some of the others aren't bad, but you can also turn them off, fortunately. As with much Creative kit, you can use their app to tweak stuff. As with much Creative kit when it's new, you can't tweak much - these could really use an EQ control so you can adjust the sound, but you can only play with the lights. That may or may not change. At the price point - currently £115 or so with the silly tickbox 'voucher' - there is no excuse for not having any Bluetooth codecs beyond the basic SBC.

ACQUISTO SUPER CONSIGLIATO!

Great computer speakers. Lots of bass. No PD adapter included for price.
These might not be for audiophiles but for the average desktop user these are going to sound amazing. The little subwoofer is mighty but really benefits from being placed next to a hard surface. I put mine behind my monitor in a corner and it amplifies the bass quite a bit. The speakers themselves are quite a bit larger than my Pebble V2s and feel weighty. The RGB lighting is a bit of a gimmick but it looks nice and I was able to make it match my setup. They lack passive radiators which most of the other pebble speakers have, but it's not needed due to the sub. For desktop computer speakers they really do sound great and can get uncomfortably loud with a 30W PD adapter. I like them very much for gaming or watching TV shows on my computer. Another huge bonus for me is connecting them to my computer with USB so I don't have to use the motherboard sound card. It's also absolutely worth downloading the Creative desktop app if you use the speakers with USB as it gives you a full equalizer and access to a few other audio filtering features that improved my experience, and allowed me to customize the lighting to match my setup. There are a few downsides though: - You need a 30W PD adapter to get the most out of these speakers, but one is *not* included for the price. It is forgivable for the cheaper Pebble speakers but these flagship models really should have included what is basically an essential accessory. - They are a bit expensive. Wait for a sale if you can. - Cables everywhere. It was a bit of work to get this setup looking clean and tidy under my new screen. If you're a fan of the Pebble series and in need of a compact speaker setup, these are worth considering. If they included a PD adapter and dropped the price 20%, it would be a no-brainer. Edit: Had these a year now and upgrading my rating to 5 stars. I've purchased several other inexpensive computer speakers with subwoofer to try with my other computer and nothing in this price range come close to the levels of deep bass this little set can produce. It might be limited in overall power - Logitech and Edifier speakers at this price point will probably be better for bigger rooms, but for a compact set that can still produce ~45Hz at reasonable volume levels, these are the king.
