Bought this for our bathroom so the kids don't have to worry about reaching the light switch, and it's been a great little upgrade so far. Installation was straightforward and the sensor picks up movement reliably when entering the room. I like that it gives you different operating modes, so you can set it up to suit your needs rather than having the light on all the time. It's made life a bit easier for the children and saves the usual reminders about turning lights off. Only had it installed for a short time, but so far it's working exactly as expected and I'm very happy with the purchase.

Very good. Mounted on the ceiling of our downstairs loo which is a small 1m x 2m room. The PIR picks up as soon as you walk into the room when dark, and the time delay switch’s off. Also no neutral required.

Why did you choose this product over others?: Easy to install

Excellent quality and value motion sensing switch. Nice styling and look. This switch has variuos modes and timer settings making it very veratile. Importantly, it only requires 1 wire (live wire feed in and out to load) and not both live and neutral like some other types need, which is great as many existing light switches do not use/have a neutral wire in the switch backplate. Included intruction are simple enough to understand, as is setting up. (the default setting as supplied will probably be fine for most applications)., but can be configured and adjusted for various situations. This unit will fit inside a 25mm deep pattress box. I use these to replace ceiling mounted "pull cord" bathroom light switches, which it is perfect for, alothough they can be used to replace any conventional wall light switch. They will work with all types of lighting uild types. Overall very happy with this item. It appears do so everything you would need from this type of motion sensing switch. I would recommend to others and and I would purchase again..

You can tell that this is a quality item as soon as you open the box. Fitted straight into my flush back box without the need of a spacer. Doesn't require a neutral connection so can be directly substituted for a standard switch. Wiring is a bit fiddly as you have to dismantle to get to the terminal screws but at least they are not exposed like the last PIR sensor I fitted. Fairly easy to program using the 2 buttons on the front of the unit so you do not need to dismantle to adjust. So far very happy with my purchase.

Early days but so far so good. I have a small closet toilet without natural ventilation, and rely on an extractor to shift air. The Xpelair fan I have goes through capacitors more than I would like, and as a result the extractor goes off with the light, instead of with the timer delay. I can’t be bothered replacing the fan PCB yet again, so have gotten this to effectively do the same job, and keep the fan on for 3 minutes with the lights. Additionally, it removes the need for anyone with possibly damp hands after washing their hands, to touch the switch. It was quite easy to fit, but do read the instructions. It’s pretty easy to configure it afterwards. I don’t like how the metal plate isn’t grounded when used with a plastic backbox, so I may look at that in the near future. I only had a L and N wire and this switch works as expected. Like most PIR sensors, they are not great on the vertical plain, so my youngest will have to wave his arm upon entering the toilet. No doubt visitors will be pressing the buttons too, so it is nice to test that it still defaults to going off on the timer even after the button is used to turn it on.
