The engineering that went into making this cleaner is truly amazing. Smonet rubber blades scrubs floors and walls all the way up to the pool surface. Smonet will climb stairs and gets itself unstuck. You may still need to brush pool and stairs but not as much as I had to with Polaris cleaner. It does not collect the very fine debris but neither did my Polaris. I’m happy with Smonet performance. I like Smonet much better than my old Polaris pool cleaner. The Polaris cost much more and requires an additional pump. Polaris is like a low tech, overpriced, water toy, with hose that pushes streams of water around to do the cleaning and debris collecting. Polaris does not scrub, does not climb walls up high, it got stuck on stairs and the hose sometimes got tangled. Polaris can only go as far as the hose lets it. Pros: Smonet is better than Polaris at cleaning and scrubbing. Costs less than Polaris. Has good warranty policy. Customer service has been good. Easy to operate. (Connects to phone also but I didn’t use this feature.) Cons: Great when working but mine stopped working before a year. You have to put robot in pool to clean and take out to charge (I do it daily). When I go on vacation or am not able to put Smonet robot in the pool, I switch, leaving my old Polaris cleaner in the pool set up on a timer. Perhaps a finer mesh basket would help get the fine debris. Not complaining. If they could make the robot jump in the pool to clean and jump out and go charge itself, that would be amazing. If my Smonet runs for years to come, it will be worth the investment.

I purchased this unit in April of last year, received it at the end of April. Worked OK. The beginning of this season, I had difficulty getting it to charge. Finally was able to get it going. I had my pool resurfaced in March. Used it 3 times, everything OK. Suddenly while in operation, the rubber band on the wheel broke during the operation. The bottom of my newly resurfaced pool is gouged in 3 or 4 places. The customer service sucks. I have been trying to get a new rubber band for the wheel. Everyone speaks Chinese, very poor communication, they are hours ahead of us and you cannot understand their English. Want photos of everything the machine was doing, etc. I am not a tech person, but did my best to comply. It has been weeks and still no belt. This unit got favorable reviews so I bought it. It has been a nightmare. One month and still no replacement wheel rubber tracks. Rep said "because of tariffs" SO! The least I can do is leave an accurate review of my horror story. I was so happy when I got it to work again. Not fabulous unit, but fair, for small particles at bottom. Oh, my beutiful pool, now gouged. I am so disgusted.

When I looked into the SMONET brand before confirming my purchase, I had a feeling that I wouldn't regret buying this product. As expected, the robot works very well on my pool, which is actually a round-edged pool. It does a great great job pulling any fallen leaves, dirt, particulates. The suction is powerful as it puts out 180w of suction power with its three motor set-up. It's user-friendly design makes handling and cleaning the filter an easy affair. It has 3 different modes (wall mode, floor mode and 'wall & floor' mode). Just charge it for about 2.5 hours (the robot will let you know when to unplug from the power source) and you're good to go. You'll be doing this pretty much before every use as the robot will clean your pool for roughly the same amount of time until it 'turns off' and lets you know it needs to be charged again. This may be an inconvenience to some but personally it's a great trade-off compared to the work you'd otherwise do if you had a pool-vacuum that uses a pressure tube cord. Smonet sends you a hook attachment so that it's easy to retrieve the robot if it happens to stop in deeper sections of your pool when it runs out of juice. Just make sure you drain the robot before pulling it out completely because it gets a little heavy. The shipping was quick and the robot arrived in very secure packaging. The Robot's design and color is really sweet, almost looks like a mini-tank. Everyone at the house finds the robot very charming. I highly recommend getting the Smonet Pool Vacuum Robot if you want a new way of cleaning the pool that actually works great and makes your life easier. I don't often write such lengthy reviews but i'm very impressed and wanted to share my experience so that others who are maybe on the fence feel that this is a good investment.

I had a very positive experience with this pool vacuum robot. It did a terrific job for our pool. Additionally, the customer service was fantastic. We had one issue with the machine and I must say that I was very pleased with the service from Lina, their Customer Service Representative. Lina helped diagnose the problem and was of great assistance to me in ensuring an effective problem resolution. 5 stars for Lina!!!

The vacuum stopped charging, I believe either due to a faulty battery or a faulty vacuum. I contacted the company, and Lina, the customer service representative, could not have been more helpful. She was extremely responsive and led me through multiple layers of trouble shooting. She ultimately determined that it was a product issue and had a brand new one shipped to me at no cost. Thank you Lina!

For 4 uses I had a great experience. The pool cleaning robot worked well and was very thorough. Each time I used it I would pull it out, drain the remaining water, clean out the basket, and take it back inside to my sunroom where I would charge it for the next use. When I went to use it this latest time the charger cable light was on as if it was working but no matter what I tried I couldn't get the robot to turn on. It sounded like a very low whining sound was coming from it but the lights won't light up and it won't connect to the app. I am very frustrated because the SMONET website for support isn't working properly and as soon as you try to chat it kicks you to submitting an email. I hate that this robot cost me more than $100 per use and hope that the manufacturer reaches out to me to rectify the situation. Update: Upgrading to 4 stars since SMONET replaced it with a brand new robot after having me show video proof that it didn’t work and was in like new condition. If the next one doesn’t last I will be downgrading the star count.

We've had this robot for about five months and it worked ok. Awoke this morning and it wasn't charged from plugging it in over night. It had some power left in it and so we don't think it's the unit itself, but the charging cord. But here's the rub. It's from China, all the customer support is in China. You have to either do What' App chats, try to chat on their website or call overseas to a number that rings and rings (can't wait to see the bill for that) So we figured we'd just buy a replacement for the charger/AC/DC adapter. $76!!! which is really high for this sort of thing. Oh and no Prime shipping. Won't be here for a week before we can even figure out if this is the problem. And Not sure what to do if it isn't. We bought this thing based on reviews and cost versus name brands like Dolphin. Stick with the name brands. Update: The manufacturer sent a replacement facia piece that was installed per the manufacturer's provided video. Right away I got an error message that "Major issue with left rotor" and no other information. I texted the manufacturer once again requesting a replacement unit and was told that they would not honor the warranty since installed the pieces per their instructions. Again. Do NOT buy from this company. Hope they can survive the coming tariffs.

This is our favorite robot we have owned. It doesn’t get stuck, the battery lasts, it’s easy to clean and it makes having a pool so much easier! I spend less on chemicals with this robot :) The customer service is the best I’ve ever had. The lady I spoke with is so sweet! They resolved my issue. I would buy from them again!
