Great Tool for Removing Split Ends
I was really impressed with this split-end cutter. It’s easy to use, lightweight, and works exactly as described. It removes the damaged ends without shortening the length of the hair, which I love. After using it, my hair feels smoother, looks healthier, and the frizz at the ends is noticeably reduced. The battery lasts a good amount of time, and the results are immediate. If you want to maintain your hair healthy between salon visits, this tool is definitely worth it.

Do NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
I got this because I don’t trust hair dressers near me with my hair(normal-thick, curly hair.) I normally straighten my hair and it has lots of split ends and breakage on the ends. Also the regular size of this is SO expensive, so I got the mini as a compromise with myself to still buy it. DO NOT, do NOT recommend at all. Would NOT repurchase. I missed the return date and am very sad, I was too busy with work. I had my hair straight, I would NOT RECOMMEND ON CURLY or textured hair at all. It did “cut” SOME of my split ends, but not effectively. It will be a mess of hair captured in the thing(barrel) for the cut hair and hair cut on the outside(of the barrel). I still need a good hair cut. This didn’t help “maintain” until I could get a haircut. Also, it did NOT give me a weird haircut. Tip: remember to open packages and things you buy immediately!! So you can return on time, if necessary.

Great device for a price that won't make you split.
Amazing. This was very easy to use and did an amazing job with my wife's hair. For the longest time she has complained about split ends. Once I got this for her, I rarely hear her say anything about them. Whenever she gets a new split end, She just uses this for a few minutes and her hair is nice, soft, and healthy looking. Wonderful job on this device.

Not as bad as the reviews say, but not as crazy as the ads
Okay I’ve been keeping my eye on this since the end of time. I got yall long haired babes the most honest review. My hair type: fine strands/ thick wavy/straight hair. Concept: basically just a rotating piece that kicks up the fraying hair with a razor (like the electric ones for cutting hair) cuts 1/4 of an inch to any hair that gets caught. YES THIS CUTS OFF HEALTHY HAIR TOO. based on common sense, there’s really no real way to ONLY cut the split ends. I understood this so I proceeded. The reviews I saw too: “it pulls and splits all the hair” I brushed through my hair not just with a hairbrush, but with the tool as well (made sure it was off) then I went like two or three passes and if it started to tug, I’d just take it out, brush through again, and redo the strand. 1. Did it cause more split ends? No. Not if you take it out and comb through your hair if it begins to tug. 2. Does it cut all of the split ends? No, I took a small amount of hair at a time and it would take multiple passes and I’m eyeballing this one split end the entire time until I just pulled it out and cut it with scissors. 3. Does hair get everywhere? Absolutely. It just kinda falls through the comb part. But if you just… curve it upward, you can limit the amount of hair that gets everywhere. 4. Is it VISIBLY different? Not really 5. Does it make your hair softer? Absolutely. After, I brushed my hair and you can definitely tell that the side you trim is much smoother and the brush glides better. Overall, decent product. I only used it on half of my head, so I’ll just be keeping an eye on my hair the next few days to see if split ends get worse.

diy self type girl lol
I've used once so far. And I will continue to try it and see if it's just user error. After first use my hair was softer and it take some time to do it, but I think it's just getting used to it. Also, it pulled a little bit so I noticed that I needed to use smaller sections ! I'll update after some time

I appreciate it for what it is
I saw this (or something similar) advertised years ago and have sort of kept it in the back of my mind as an option for dealing with split-ends. It was so new at the time that I didn’t trust that it would work and I didn’t want to spend a bunch of money on yet another gimmick, so I never bought it. I wish I would have bought it when I first saw it years ago. We live in a beautiful rural area where hairdressers are few and far between and the hairdressers who live around here haven’t kept up with the more modern hairstyles. My son and I both have longer hair and have been ‘burned’ figuratively, when we’ve gone in for a trim/stylized cut (not texture!!) and so I’ve been doing the comb & scissors split end trimming on us. It is so time consuming and I have to take multiple breaks when doing my own hair.. Finally bit the bullet and bought this and it’s just amazing. It does NOT replace a hair cut. It DOES take care of split ends. Compared to the scissor/comb method I was using, it literally does the same thing but so so so SOOOOO much faster. My son didn’t complain one time and sat for the whole process without needing to get up and move around or anything. We have straight, fine, thick, of European decent hair and it worked brilliantly for us. I bought some carbon fiber rat tail, fine tooth combs to use with this and would highly recommend a person does the same. The comb it comes with is more like a wide-tooth hair pick than a comb. It did pinch/pull at some times where a strand would get caught up between the plastic components. It was not an issue of needing a smaller piece of hair, it was more of an issue of the teeth on the device being so long it was difficult to get a section of hair between the top and bottom pieces. I was able to correct the pulling while doing my son’s hair by really taking my time and going slow. I had a more difficult time with it on my own hair because it was harder to see. My son’s hair (pictured) was cleaned the night before and the process of using the split-ender was simple and smooth. My own hair (not pictured) was 3 days post wash and had a ‘plex’ styler in it and the process was still simple and smooth. My hair is box lightened (damaged) and is at about 35% overall gray. I was worried about the more wiry grays being difficult to trim or being shorn entirely but that didn’t happen as far as I can tell. Hair styling tools, for me, are an investment. I usually go down the middle when it comes to quality and price of product. It’s not about the name of the product but more about the results. To me, this is well worth the investment. I bought the mini for around $80 I think. I don’t feel the need to buy the full size. I used it while it was on the charger to do my son’s hair and then took it off the charger to do my own hair within about 15 minutes of having finished his hair. The battery lasted thru the whole process when it was off the charger. I didn’t think to document the time it took for either trim but if I had to estimate (erring on the side of caution) I’d say it took 45 minutes to do my sons hair and an hour to do my own? Maybe a little more on my own as my brain has trouble computing the whole mirror image thing. The lit up directional arrow was a godsend in that regard. Haha TLDR; It took care of our split ends (even on my dirty, damaged, gray hair) and is truly, genuinely worth the buy. Oh, and use a fine tooth comb and go slow!

Buenísima. Super recomiendo!
